(Chupacabra)
Rick made Carol and Lori post-pone their 'dinner' as he wanted to ask Hershel rather than just going off Maggies say so on the matter so today we were continuing our search for Sophia.
"Nothin' about what Daryl and Hailie found screams Sophia to me." Ever since Daryl and I had told Rick and the rest what we had found at that farm house Shane has been looking for reasons to shoot down any hopes of Sophia being there. "Anybody could've been holed up in that farm house."
"Anybody includes her, right?" Andrea pitched in and Rick nodded at her.
"Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay high." Daryl spoke as he held a hand against where his hipbone is. "It's a good lead." I added, hoping that Rick will let us check more of the area around the abandoned house rather than 'sticking to a trail.'
"Maybe we'll pick up her trail again." Rick seemed to agreed with us. Although for some reason Daryl was the one trying hardest to find Sophia, don't get me wrong I want to find her too but it seems like it's just Daryl that is actually going out to look for her, the rest haven't been out looking since we got here.
"No maybe about it. I'm gonna 'borrow' a horse head up to the ridge right here," Daryl pointed to a spot on the map that resembled a cliff. "Take a birds-eye view right up here. If she's up there, I'll spot her."
"Good idea." Rick agreed.
"Maybe you'll see your chupacabra up there too." I laughed at what T-dog said, remembering that forst day at camp when we were all sitting around a fire and Daryl told us about the time he saw a chupacabra when he was out hunting.
"Chupacabra?" Rick raised an eyebrow, looking to me for an answer.
"You haven't heard this?" I asked him in disbelief, surely I thought someone would've told him about the best campfire story.
He shakes his head at me and I begin to explain the origin story of the chupacabra. "Our first night in camp, Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra."
Jimmy, Beth's boyfriend. Laughed at the ridiculous story and Daryl smacked his shoulder. "What you braying at jackass?"
"You believe in a blood-sucking dog?" Jimmy looked at him in both amusement and surprise.
"You believe in dead people walking around?" Jimmy didn't answer this time though as he went to grab a gun, only to have his hand smacked away.
"Hey, hey. You ever shot one of these before?" Daryl asked him and he shook his head. "No, but if I'm going out I want one."
"Yeah? And people in hell want slurpees." Daryl remarked sarcastically, making Jimmy back down from his need to want a gun.
I turned my head and saw Glenn sitting on the porch holding a guitar, I couldn't be bothered with the whole back and forth bickering so I walked over to where he was.
"Nice guitar." He lifted his head to see, and upon realising it was me he smiled at me and turned his gaze downwards to the guitar in his hands.
"Yeah, Dale found it on the highway."
"You know how to play?" I asked him and he shook his head. "No."
"Ain't much use then, is it?" He chuckled in response, looking back up to me and squinting his eyes through the sun. "I was hoping you'd know."
"Ha! No." I laughed and sat down beside him.
"Maybe Maggie or Beth knows?" I suggested and he nodded. "Maybe."
