Elhaan rushed into the hospital, his heart racing with worry. He had just received news of an accident involving his friend, Zeeshan Anwar Khan. As he approached the reception desk, he was joined by his brothers, Rohail and Ayaan.
"Excuse me," Elhaan said, trying to catch his breath. "A patient named Zeeshan Anwar Khan was brought in a little while ago. Where is he?"
The receptionist's expression turned somber. "I'm afraid he's been admitted to the ICU. His condition is critical."
Elhaan's eyes widened with concern. "Where is the ICU?" he asked, and the receptionist provided him with directions.
As Elhaan hurried towards the ICU, Rohail and Ayaan followed close behind, supporting him in case he stumbled. When they arrived, they found Sadia already there, looking worried and distraught.
"Sadia... How's Zeeshan?" Elhaan asked, his voice shaking.
Sadia turned to him immediately, her eyes welled up with tears. "Ze... Zeeshan's condition is very critical. He's lost a lot of blood."
Ayaan looked puzzled. "But how did this happen? Zeeshan bhai (Brother) wasn't one to drive recklessly."
Sadia took a deep breath before explaining, her voice laced with hatred, "It was because of Fariyal's words. He was completely shattered and drove off at full speed. I don't know what happened next, but I was right behind him when the accident occurred."
Elhaan felt a pang of guilt and regret. "My brother..."
Sadia turned to him, her voice laced with disappointment. "How could you, Elhaan? You didn't even listen to your friend's side of the story. You just believed what someone else said. Zeeshan has been going crazy for a week, trying to win Fariyal back just to ask forgiveness from you. He was in his worst state."
Elhaan's eyes dropped, filled with remorse for his past actions.
Elhaan shook his head, tears streaming down his face, his voice shaking. "No, I... I trust him. I was just a little... little angry with him, that's all. I know my brother can't do anything wrong. That's why, I myself went to that girl to ask about everything that happened. I... I even sent him a video to show Fariyal..."
Sadia's expression turned bitter. "Fariyal didn't believe him, instead, she threw a bunch of money on his face and she said things that broke Zeeshan's heart."
Rohail intervened, his voice calm and soothing. "Sadia, please compose yourself. Elhaan, bro, control yourself too. This isn't the time for blame."
But Elhaan was beyond consolation, his body shaking with guilt and fear. "What have I done? What have I done to my brother? I... I should have trusted him. I should have stood... Stood by him." He broke down, falling to the floor and hitting himself in anguish.
Ayaan and Rohail rushed to his side, holding him tight. "Bhai (Brother), stop! What are you doing?" Ayaan exclaimed.
Rohail added, "Elhaan, stop punishing yourself. You should be praying for Zeeshan's recovery, not harming yourself."
Elhaan's voice was barely audible. "I've wronged my friend, my brother. This is all my fault. If anything happens to Zeeshan, I swear on Allah, I'll never forgive myself. Never."
Rohail and Ayaan quickly hugged Elhaan, trying to comfort him. Ayaan said, "Bhai (Brother), stop. Nothing will happen to Zeeshan bhai (Brother). We'll pray together, okay? Please, nothing will happen."
Rohail patted Elhaan's head, trying to comfort him. "Nothing will happen, don't lose hope. Have faith in Allah, everything will be okay." Rohail and Ayaan helped Elhaan to his feet as Zeeshan's father, Dr. Anwar, emerged from the ICU with one other doctor.
