Before Zafar and the others would trying to explain to Elhaan, but he suddenly collapsed, losing consciousness. Everyone gasped out loud, calling out his name in unison.
Zafar immediately rushed to his side and checked his pulse. "Elhaan?!" he exclaimed, shaking his body, but there was no response. Faiza also tried to shake him awake, but he didn't stir.
Amreen's heart was racing with fear. She was frantic. "Elhaan!!" she cried out. "Please, someone, wake him up!"
Zafar checked Elhaan's vital signs again and then turned to Amreen, his eyes wide with shock and his hands trembling. Amreen's voice was laced with panic. "Zafar... Zafar, bhai? What's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?"
Zafar looked deep into Amreen's eyes and gulped before speaking. Everyone was staring at him with bated breath. He stammered, "He's... He's no... No more."
Amreen's voice cracked. "El... Elhaan... No... This can't be. Elhaannnnn!" she wailed.
Just then, Amreen's eyes snapped open, and she looked around frantically. Elhaan was clinging to Faiza's neck, sobbing uncontrollably. Ayaan, Zoya, and Laiba stood nearby, frozen in shock.
Shahnaaz rubbed Amreen's back as her breathing quickened. "What's wrong, Amreen? Is everything okay? Why are you so frantic?" she asked, concern etched on her face.
Amreen's voice trembled. "I was reading some duas when my eyes grew heavy, and I had a terrible nightmare. Oh God, my heart is racing with fear."
Shahnaaz tried to reassure her. "In Sha Allah, nothing will happen. Calm down. Look, they're taking care of Zeeshaan. Everything will be alright."
Just then, Sadia and Zoya approached them. Zoya took Amreen's hand and said, "Don't worry, we have faith that Zeeshan will be fine, and Elhaan will recover too. Zeeshan went through a similar ordeal, and things are the same for Elhaan now. Their friendship is deep, and In Sha Allah, we believe Allah will accept our prayers and Elhaan's too."
The others chimed in, "Ameen."
"What... what happened to Elhaan? What do you mean by Zeeshan once had went through the same situation before?" Amreen asked Zoya, her voice laced with worry.
Zoya replied with calmness, "Let everything settle down first, then I'll explain slowly. Okay? For now, we should focus on praying for Zeeshan."
Amreen nodded, though her curiosity was still piqued. "Okay."
Zoya's calm demeanor seemed to reassure Amreen, and she nodded again, trying to compose herself. The group fell silent, each person lost in their own thoughts as they prayed for Zeeshan's recovery.
As they stood there, the tension was palpable, but Zoya's words had reminded them that they needed to stay strong and focused on the present moment. The questions and explanations could wait; for now, their priority was supporting each other and praying for their loved ones.
Saina, who had been silent until then, suddenly whispered with a mix of irritation and hatred, "I can't believe it - Fariyal got engaged... to someone new!"
Amreen's anger flared up. "Let Zeeshan recover first. Then I'll deal with her myself."
Shahnaz chimed in, "There's no need to waste your time on girls like her. She doesn't deserve Zeeshan's attention."
But Amreen was resolute. "No, I still want to meet her. I have questions, and I need answers."
Sadia offered her support. "I'll come with you."
Shahnaz nodded in agreement. "And I'll come too. We won't let you face her alone."
Amreen nodded, a determined look on her face. "Okay."
