Happy birthday to @SharitaPatterson! I hope you have an amazing day and enjoy this double upload special :)
I plan to do a Marc birthday special at some point I swear😭
But this was basically off another texting story drama off YouTube cuz I'm addicted
The difference was that that one was a wedding
BUT ANYWAYS
Marinette holds a birthday party since it's her 18th, and is willing to invite others, including the ones from Bustier's class that she had a fallout with
Alya doesn't like that Marinette doesn't want to cooperate with Lila, so she does something unthinkable
She messes with the cake, which Marinette made sure an ingredient she was allergic to was left out
Which would have been fine if it was really someone else who was allergic to it instead
Guess who it is👀
TW for allergies, tampering with allergic ingredients, mentions of hospitals, etc (just think of medical episodes, I watch a lot of medical and crime shows)
Marinette yawned as she stretched in her bed, finished planning for the night. She was currently planning out her party she planned to have for her 18th, a special milestone from a young adult to an actual adult.
The girl couldn't even believe she made it this far!
Sadly, with a special day like that comes many guests to expect. Marinette loves her family, she really does! But it would be too much, and the amount of family that live outside of Paris will get a terrifying welcoming when they find out about akumas.
The baker girl was trying to plan out everything so the event goes as smoothly as possible. She wanted some family to show up, and then they can travel out of the town later to have a larger party. That way it is safer and more family would be bound to show up. So she decided to have a party with friends first and sent invitations to them, along with a note saying they can bring other friends as long as they ask first and can confirm the date. That way there is enough food made for everyone.
Marinette already had a location set: a gaming building in downtown Paris filled with endless activities, including an arcade, laser tag, and more! Those can keep the guests entertained after the birthday stuff.
Plus, Marinette and her team wanted to challenge each other in laser tag to see who had the best aim. But the final details left the baker girl stressed, and it was so simple too!
It was the cake.
She couldn't decide on a flavor, or even a design for it! So her mother chuckled and said she would just surprise her. And to ensure she would get the job done, she asked Alya's mother to help as well.
"And Marinette wants no nuts in the cake, she is very paranoid on that ingredient." Sabine laid out all the ingredients and had printed pictures of ideas for the cake. "She doesn't see a point in having a cake that looks pretty, but not everyone gets to eat it."
"Alya never said that she was allergic to nuts!" Mrs. Césaire yelped. "If I had known, I would have been more careful with what I cook while she was around!" Sabine laughed.
"Oh, Mari's not allergic, her cousin is. Do you know Marc?" Mrs. Césaire shook her head. Sabine continued explaining as they gathered all needed items. "Well, he's always had this thing since he was younger to never say what he wants because of his shyness. That included allergies, sadly. So whenever he was with Marinette, she would always say she was allergic and would order his food for him, and he would do the same for her. It's just a habit for her now to just say she is allergic to ensure priority is taken. And she believes that if the birthday girl orders something and says she has an allergy, it will be more self-conscious since it is supposed to be a fun event that will be ruined if they aren't careful. She really just likes to make others sweat sometimes." The mothers laughed.
