Might have done something similar to this in the past but I don't remember😅

Basically civilians start to doubt the heroes and think they are lacking in their effort to take down Hawkmoth. They start protesting for the heroes to be banned since they don't seem to be doing their jobs.

The heroes still try to help even after the ban was established, but it ended with identities being revealed and being hounded by the media. Master Fu had to go into hiding before he was discovered as well.

But when danger sets out again, why did people think the heroes would still help them?

The city of Paris was blossoming with people. Tourists, townsfolk, animals, and most surprising, superheroes.

Ladybug and Cat Noir, the city's protectors. They sometimes have help from other heroes like Rena Rouge, Viperion, Carapace, etc. Even a new hero named Honeybee has made some appearances to help out. The town was never caught with a dull moment, especially with the evil around.

The supervillain of the area, known as Hawkmoth, was not someone to mess with. Not only was his identity unknown, but he has a helper of his own. Mayura. And to add on to that, he uses negative emotions to control people to do his dirty work. It was a frightening time to live there if you asked anyone.

The people of Paris loved their heroes, they really did. But at times, it seemed like they were stalling for time rather than finding Hawkmoth and ending his rein. And some people in particular decided to spread the word themselves.

It was a normal weekday, Marinette was almost late but was able to arrive on time. Adrien smiled warmly at her while Lila kept her claws into his arm. Nino fist bumped her and Alya laughed.

"Cutting it close, aren't we?" Alya patted the seat next to her. "Sit, sit, I have to show you guys something!"

"Oh..." Marinette looked up to where her seat in the back was. Chloe was there, filing her nails while listening to Nathaniel explain a commission. Chloe looked at her and waved her hand, signaling that it was fine. Marinette nodded her head and sat down next to Nino, making the seat three people. Adrien gave a wide grin while Lila showed a fake smile.

"Alright, so you guys know how tension is rising lately with people thinking are heroes aren't doing enough?" Alya asked. That question caused the entire class to go silent. Even Chloe stopped what she was doing.

"I mean...I guess?" Marinette replied. She knew, as Ladybug, that more and more media outlets were asking on hers and Cat Noir's opinions on the matter. She responded by saying that they were doing they best they could, but also had personal matters to attend to as well. That they were also people who lived in the city and had more to their lives than just fighting people.

And of course, tabloids decided to make a mess of that and claim Ladybug stopped caring about the city's wellbeing and was being selfish.

"Well, turns out the first person to bring up this idea was actually Gabriel Agreste! One news outlet released an article asking the public what they would do about the matter. They even released a poll with it as well asking if our heroes are doing enough."
