It was a hot Saturday afternoon in the Alternate Reality world, and Marinette was burning up. She had the strong urge for a pool day, so she called up her friends to join her. Luckily, they were all just as drained and agreed. Marc had an even better idea though.

"How about we go to the beach? It isn't far from here." Marinette had never loved her cousin more than in that moment.

A few hours later, they were all at the beach. Nath, Marc, and Aurore were already running to the waves before they could even choose a spot to put their stuff down. 

"There they go," Chloe sighed and rolled her eyes. Kagami chuckled at helped set up their spot.

"If you need us, we will be going off for ice cream. You aren't catching me in the water this soon." Chloe walked off with Kagami following. That left just Luka and Marinette.

"Water fight?" Luka grinned. Marinette laughed and ran towards the water. Luka caught up to her and lifted her up, putting her on his back.

"Come here, Nathaniel! Let's see who's stronger!" Luka padded up. Nathaniel took up that challenge and got Marc on his shoulders.  Luka and Nathaniel fought each other while Marc and Marinette tried to push each other over.

"I will never let you win, dear cousin!" Marc exclaimed as Marinette pushed him further. "I could use the seaweed!"

"But that would be cheating!" Marinette shot back. "You would call Luka out if he used the water!"

"Meanwhile we have nothing to our advantage," Nathaniel muttered. Luka chuckled.

"I'm sorry, Marc. But I must do this." Marinette grabbed Marc's wrist. The boy was confused when he realized what she was about to do.

"No."

"There can only be one of us."

"No! Don't do it!"

"Long live the queen!" Marinette exclaimed as she pushed Marc backwards. Nathaniel yelped as his lover fell over. Luka smirked and summoned a wave to sweep them away.

"We win!" Luka laughed.

"You guys are so dramatic!" Chloe huffed as she returned with ice cream. Aurore messed with the wind to affect her hair, which turned into both blondes fighting with air. Kagami just watched, sipping her smoothie and enjoying not getting involved.

Nino was having fun composing music in the common area when he saw some commotion going on outside. Nino paused what he was doing and looked out the window.

Outside, there were a few boys surrounding Marc. Nino sighed, they still haven't learned yet? 

That's when Nino had a wicked idea. If they won't learn from Marc and Marinette, then maybe they will learn from him. Nino made his way outside, the commotion getting louder.

"Your scary cousin isn't here to protect you now, plant boy." One bully said confidently. "And that little trick earlier was a boost from dark magic. You aren't as powerful as she is, so let's see how well you defend yourself alone!"

Marc barely comprehended what happened next. One second he was preparing to throw the bully back, and the next the bully has a boulder thrust at him from the side.
