Lucifer was reading a book on fatherhood in his living room, trying to understand what being a father would entail. He also needed a distraction from the stress of the day. Carmilla walked in from her room and sat beside him, giving him a kiss on the cheek in an attempt to cheer him up.
Carmilla: You seem stressed. Is something wrong?
Lucifer: What makes you think I'm stressed?
Carmilla: You're reading, and you usually do that to clear your mind.
Lucifer: You know me too well.
Carmilla: I do. So, what's stressing you out?
Lucifer: Well, I decided to hire some bounty hunters to find Lilith.
Carmilla: Bounty hunters? Do you want to kill her or something?
Lucifer: Of course not. I just want them to find her. I don't want things to end like this, without closure for her.
Carmilla: And why bounty hunters?
Lucifer: I want everything to go unnoticed. And what better than a group of Imps? I doubt that would attract anyone's attention, even Michael's.
Carmilla: I see. And what did you offer them?
Lucifer: Weapons, money, and...
Carmilla: And?
Lucifer: And to be our personal escort.
Carmilla: What?!
Lucifer: That was their third condition, to help their business gain more fame.
Carmilla: So, you hired an escort without consulting me.
Lucifer: They're good at their job, or so they say.
Carmilla: And when are they coming?
Lucifer: I told them today, but they haven't arrived yet.
Carmilla: I see.
Lucifer wrapped his arm around Carmilla's waist, pulling her closer and kissing her on the cheek.
Lucifer: In two weeks, we'll be getting married. Aren't you excited?
Carmilla: Of course I am, but excitement turns to pain every time this baby kicks in my belly, and that's just the beginning.
Lucifer: Three more months, and we'll be complete as a family.
Carmilla: I know. All together. You, me, our daughters, and the little Au...
Someone knocked on the door, so Lucifer opened it, revealing three Imps in more formal attire and dark sunglasses.
Lucifer: Who are you? The Men in Black?
Moxxie: I told you it wasn't a good idea to wear these, sir.
Blitzø: It's called working with class, idiot.
Lucifer: Why did you take so long?
Blitzø: As if it's easy to get to this place.
Lucifer: It is, you have a van.
Blitzø: That doesn't mean it's easy.
Lucifer: But...never mind. Come in, and be careful.
As they entered, they realized how huge the mansion was from the inside. Even though the exterior already gave the message that someone elegant lived there, they were impressed by the interior. They made their way to where Carmilla was checking the book Lucifer had been reading.
Carmilla: Are these the ones?
Lucifer: Yes.
Blitzø: Carmilla Carmine in person, the creator of the best damn weapons in Hell. I seriously admire the work you do, except when your work tries to kill me.
