On what seemed to be a normal day, Carmilla was putting on a silver and black dress before adorning herself with a necklace. That day, she planned to settle accounts with someone she didn't want to see at all but knew she had to. From one of the drawers on her table, she found the envelope Blitzø had given her when he had fulfilled his part of the deal. She left her room and walked to the living room, where she could hear Lucifer talking to someone.
Lucifer: I see, what else?
Rory: Gugu... gaga...
Lucifer: I don't believe you, so that's how you feel.
Rory: Ba... ba...
Lucifer: I understand, but that's how things are.
Rory: Ga... da...
Lucifer: That's right.
Rory: Mmm... ma...
Lucifer: Mama?
When he turned, he saw Carmilla smiling at everything she saw.
Carmilla: Do you even understand anything she says?
Lucifer: No, not at all, but I know she wants to talk to me, so I can't ignore her.
Carmilla: I see.
Lucifer: And why do you look so beautiful today?
Carmilla: I want to take Rory for a walk, and I need to show my image as a queen.
Lucifer: I see, do you want me to join you?
Carmilla: Don't worry, we'll be fine, and I think you should help Charlie with her wedding plans.
Lucifer: Right, I had forgotten.
With his daughter in his arms, he handed her to her mother and then went to get dressed, not knowing that the girl wanted to stay with her father, showing sadness.
Carmilla: Don't worry, darling, you'll play with him more later. Today, you will be only mine.
She brought her daughter closer to give her a kiss on the cheek, seeing that the girl started clapping with happiness.
Carmilla: Very well, time to go.
As she left, she saw a carriage waiting for her. Since they got married, they decided to take their status as royalty more seriously, especially her. Every time they went out, there were guards watching, personal drivers for their cars as well as the carriage. She got into the carriage to start her journey through the city, seeing most people bowing to her presence. Carmilla greeted them while Rory just watched them without understanding anything, focusing only on the bright signs of the businesses.
They passed by a business where most demons and sinners were indulging themselves, so Carmilla covered her daughter's eyes, knowing it wasn't yet time for her to know about such things, though she didn't want her to know about them later either. She opened the envelope in her hands, reading the information. She knew it had to be the place where one would least expect to look. After all, that place had been abandoned, and no one wanted to go back there.
Carmilla: Very well, Rory, we're going to visit someone mommy hates a lot.
Rory: Goo...
The carriage took them to the old mansion where Lucifer used to live before they met. Just by looking at it, she could tell time had not been kind to its image. With her daughter in her arms, she decided to enter the mansion, seeing that the place was somewhat decent, more than she expected. There wasn't much dust; some furniture looked clean, though there was trash that shouldn't be there.
