A/n: So, in order to make the reader not so OP, I made sure to include that any time she uses her ability, she has immense physical repercussions. Do you guys think that's fair for the character, or shoulder I limit more of what she can do? Since it's been revealed that the Ancestor of All Spirits is aka the All Spark, I figured that the reader character would be able to harness that ability, but because of her being human, it's not exactly wise for her to go all willy-nilly with it. Is that fair or should I limit her more? LMK!

Chicago had become another warzone once the Autobots were out of the picture. Sentinel had sealed off the city, and within the city limits and onwards, there was carnage.

Devastation was everywhere; smoke and motor oil and blood filling the air like a terrifying symphony of tyranny, and the sounds of the screams and sirens echoing through the streets made me wonder if this was what Hell was like.

I was sitting in the back seat of Epps car, Sam in the front and looking around at the carnage as Epps drove. Every now and then, Epps would glance back at me, as if the glow from my veins was intriguing him. My fists were clenched, chest tight, and I couldn't deny that I was angry.

All of the chaos, the tragedy...it made me sick. I was glaring out the window, thumbing at my wrist for a moment as I watched people run from the city; destroyed cars on fire; debris covering the roads, and I closed my eyes for a moment as Epps informed Sam and I.

"We had a signal earlier."

Sam glanced at him before he became distracted once again, and the radio played a news broadcast.

"This is an emergency broadcast. Chicago has suffered a major attack..."

I had to tune the broadcast out. I was startled by the sound of my phone ringing, and Sam glanced back.

"Who is it?"

"It's Will."

Epps perked up, and I answered the phone, bracing myself.

"Hello?"

"What did I tell you about leaving? Where the hell are you?"

I rolled my eyes and muttered.

"You got GPS locators. You find out. Love you, bye."

"No, no, no, don't you dare, young lady. (Y/n)-!"

I hung up before slipping the phone into a pocket within the back seat, and Epps shook his head.

"Grounded for life."

"He'll get over it once I wring Sentinel's fucking neck."

My body flashed blue slightly, the adrenaline making me unable to keep still, and the boys shared a look before deciding to say nothing. My eyes were drawn to the sky, watching as alien ships flew about, and I frowned deeply. When Epps came to a stop, we all got out, some of the retired N.E.S.T soldiers that had volunteered to come with us getting out as well while loading their guns.

As we walked, we found a spot where we could recon and get a feel for the city, and Epps climbed up onto a destroyed piece of a building. Looking into the city, he was quiet. The sound of jets made all of us turn, and three friendly jets were about to fly into the city before they were shot down, and my heart constricted.

Again, more innocent people. Dead.

Epps shook his head.

"My god....you really think we're gonna be able to find Dylan Gould and Sentinel in the middle of all of that?"

One of the men beside me asked.

"Are we really going out there, Epps?"

"I'm not going in there."
