When we got outside, Baby was pacing in front of the house, hands on his hips and green optics narrowed. When he heard our footsteps, his green optics widened and he exclaimed when he noticed I was injured.

"What in the hell happened?"

I shrugged, wincing when it made my shoulder burn as it rubbed against my clothes.

"Well, there were 8 vampires, Rosie turned out to be a demon, I rescued my Uncle, and now we're gonna get this girl to the hospital. That about cover it?"

Baby shook his head, facepalming.

"Primus, help us all."

Baby knelt down in front of Uncle Sam, who gave the Cybertronian a slight nod.

"It's good to see that you're alright, Samuel."

Uncle Sam replied, a slight smile on his lips as he looked up at Baby.

"Yeah, you too. Do you, uh...mind?"

Baby chuckled and immediately transformed into his alt mode, and Uncle Sam shook his head.

"I don't think I'm ever going to get over the fact that Baby is actually a transformer."

I snorted and got into the front seat, groaning slightly.

"I still can't wait to see Dad's reaction."

Baby muttered through the radio as Uncle Sam laid the woman down gently in the backseat before climbing into the passenger side.

"He's gonna flip a lid...maybe try to shoot me."

Uncle Sam laughed gently, stating.

"Definitely gonna shoot you."

I hummed in agreement before laying my head back, closing my eyes as I began to get a headache, and Baby asked.

"Are you going to be alright, bub?"

"I'll be fine. I'm not surprised that I got a bit scuffed up. It was my first hunt, after all. Though, I did learn something interesting about vampires today."

Uncle Sam looked over at me, asking.

"What's that?"

"They are such a let-down. I mean, the fangs aren't even iconic. I wouldn't be surprised if they fucking glittered like Edward Cullen or something. Secondly, Christian paraphernalia doesn't even bother them, so that's stupid. Third, energon is toxic to them."

Uncle Sam and Baby both asked in unison.

"What?"

I revealed the bite mark on my leg, Uncle Sam's eyes widening in shock as Baby cursed in Cybertronian.

"One of the vampires bit me and tried to drink my blood, but after drinking it, he began to convulse and throw up before he finally died. So, not only is Energon toxic to humans, but it's apparently toxic to vampires too."

Uncle Sam looked curious as he began to think, and Baby hummed.

"It makes sense. Vampires were once human, and even though their DNA is technically different, they still have to live off of human blood if they don't choose to feed from animals. You're not completely human anymore."

I nodded, and Uncle Sam asked me, his eyes on my shoulder as a faint glow emitted from beneath the tears in my jacket.

"That's why your blood glows like that...because of the...energon?"

I hummed in response, gripping my shoulder almost self-consciously.

"Yes. There's enough energon in my body that it makes my blood glow. Baby, can we please get to the hospital and drop this lady off? Who even is she?"
