Chapter 24

There were three students kicking the lanky body of teenage Jungkook. He was defenseless against his three main bullies. They were on the football(soccer) team, which made their kicks more painful than the average student. What happened this time? Jungkook dozed off and accidentally stared at one of their girlfriends. "You son of a bitch! Look at her again and I will-"

He was interrupted by a not so tall figure punching him in the face. The two minions, you could call them, stood there in shock, staring at their friend on the ground. Everyone moved their gaze at the person who threw the punch and didn't dare to say anything. There stood a pale, slightly muscular teenage Min Yoongi. He had a cigarette in his mouth while looking down.

"You are so pathetic Lee Hyun-Soo," Hyun-Soo gulped but stood up quickly. "Yah! I did nothing to you! Mind your business!!" His voice was shaky and no hint of confidence. "Speak when you don't sound like a pussy for one. Two, my friend here is late for something confidential," Yoongi made his way towards Jungkook and pulled him up. "Boss is waiting,"

Everyone knew not to mess with the Min Yoongi. He was involved in lots of gang activities, including possibly killing a few people. Was it his choice? Maybe. Did he regret it? Maybe. Did he like being feared? No. Jungkook stared at the gangster with a bit of fear in his eyes. There was nothing to be afraid of, knowing that he had done nothing to provoke Yoongi. There was a small part of him that was just scared of being judged by him.

"Let's go," His voice stayed cold and sent shivers down Jungkook's spine. Yoongi walked Jungkook away from the area and turned towards him. "Why let those people pick on you? Why do they do this?" Jungkook stared at his shoes and played with his hands. "I zone out frequently and I accidentally stared at Hyun-Soo's girlfriend. I'm a total loser staring at one of the most popular girls in school,"

All Yoongi could do was shake his head. "From now on, you will hang out with me, especially on school property," There was shock written all over Jungkook's face but it disappeared when he began to realize. "You graduated this year, I will be all alone and bullied for the rest of high school," Yoongi shook his head. "If anything happens, call me and remember that,"

That was eight years ago so so much had changed. Maybe Jungkook turned into the person Yoongi had feared. He tried his hardest to keep Jungkook away from his gang life but protect him at the same time. Yoongi looked down at the card and couldn't help but remember the life he had, before starting over. Maybe this wouldn't be as bad.

Jungkook stared at his father with no expression on his face. "Did you get the girl pregnant?" That was the first thing that came out of his father's mouth. "No," Was all that he said. "Good," It went silent between the two. Jungkook's father was not thrilled to have Jungkook vulnerable towards another woman, knowing what happened last time.

"I heard that you may join the Mafia. You were supposed to be the boss, in my throne by now," All Jungkook could do was roll his eyes. "I don't plan on it. I want to be a better man for my girlfriend," His father began to laugh hard, tears rolling down his face. "Oh really? I wonder how she would react knowing about your little sprees... Yes, I know you enjoy taking the lives of others. How messy you are,"

There was a mix of disappointment and amusement. Not a good mix for Jungkook. He didn't like it. "If I were you, I would be trained under Mr. Choi before taking the throne-" "How many times do I have to tell you that I'm not joining!" Jungkook sternly said to his father. If there wasn't any glass keeping the two from contact, he would either be punched in the face or grabbed by his father.

"Alright, stick to drawing family houses for those pathetic people," There was a deep inhale coming from Jungkook before putting the phone in its place. He stood up and left the facility. "I guess I'll join... But I would have to tell Lisa," He couldn't have his father feel the satisfaction that he isn't joining. He knew his father thought he was weak, so he'll prove him wrong.

Lisa began to pack her things for the business trip that was going to take a few days. Her boss recommended for her to mainly bring business attire but also casual, for their extra time there. They were going to Japan for this deal and it was going to take about four days. She picked up her phone and called her parents.

"Hi mom and dad, how are you guys?" It had been a while since she had spoken to her parents and felt bad. "We are fine honey, the café is getting more chaotic but fine," Lisa was happy for her parents. "So what's up?" Her father popped in. "I wanted to let you guys know that I'm going on my first business trip! I'm kinda nervous. I'm still a bit new to the company,"

"Don't worry about that sweety, everything is going to be fine," The comforting words are exactly what Lisa needed, especially with her parents. Speaking of.... "I also want you to meet someone when I get back," Jungkook had never met her parents before and they are already almost four months into their relationship. "Is it your boyfriend—what's his name? Oh, Jungkook!"

Lisa was extremely confused. I don't think I mentioned Jungkook's name to them? "How do you guys know his name?" "Oh, Jisoo told us all about him," Kim Jisoo. "Oh, well let's look at the time, I have to go. I love you guys," Before she could hear their reply, she ended the call and let out a long sigh. "When I get back, me and the unnies are going to have a long chat.

Hey guys, sorry for being very inactive. So I do write the chapters but only when I'm inspired and sometimes I just don't know how to continue the chapter. I might just change things up bc I sometimes feel like writing about the BTS members with an OC character. Now I have began obsessing over Nijiro Murakami recently so, there could be something related the him. I don't know atp. But hope you enjoyed 🤗
