As the team of riders approached Verena's main berg, their eyes widened in surprise.

Instead of floating majestically in the sky, the berg was now in the ocean, slowly sinking towards the water.

"Looks like Vicky did some damage," Matt commented, a hint of awe in his voice.

The sight was strange, almost surreal. The massive berg, which had once floated ominously in the sky, was now slowly sinking, its hull partially submerged in the water.

"Brenda, Thèrèse, let's take out those fighters at the back!" Hugo raised his boomerang arrow launcher before swerving his hoverboard to the left.

"On it!" Brenda and Thèrèse swiftly followed Hugo's lead and peeled off from the group.

They honed in on the back of the main berg, where several aircrafts were stationed, protecting the berg's rear flank.

"Thomas, Bea, we'll cover you once you touched down!" Gally called out.

Thomas and Bea nodded in acknowledgment, their eyes fixed on their objective. Thomas shot an affirmative glance at Gally before turning to Bea.

"You ready for this?" he asked.

Bea nodded. Then she positioned her hoverboard to the right.

Thomas gave a quick nod, even though she couldn't see it. "Stay safe," he whispered, the wind carrying away his words.

Thomas maneuvered his hoverboard silently, ducking behind the cover of the massive engines that powered the berg.

The main engines hummed ominously, their size and power dwarfing anything else on the berg. He darted quickly from one engine to the next, using the bulky machinery as a natural cover.

Thomas placed the explosive device given to him by Vincent in a deep location within the engine's core where it wouldn't be easily spotted.

He activated the device, a soft beep signaling that the countdown had begun.

Thomas retreated away from the engine as fast as he could, not wanting to be in the blast radius when the bomb detonated. He dropped down from the engine, landing softly on the deck of the massive aircraft.

Staying out of sight, Thomas crouched behind the crates, listening carefully to the sounds around him. Footsteps echoed through the aircraft, guards patrolling the area.

He moved through the cramped interior of the aircraft, avoiding the patrolling guards. He had to find a way to reach his friends.

His eyes darted around, taking in his surroundings. There were two obvious ways to proceed: a narrow hallway to the north and a steep staircase leading upstairs to the west.

Thomas made his decision. He was low on time and options. He took a deep breath and bolted towards the staircase.

His footsteps echoed loudly as he ran up the steep staircase. The guards patrolling the area immediately turned towards the commotion and started shouting.

"Hey!" "Stop right there!"

Thomas didn't slow down. He charged up the stairs, ducking and dodging as bullets whistled past him.

He weaved between the shots, his heart pounding in his chest as he ran for his life.

The guards continued to fire at him. Bullets pinged off the metal staircase, sparks flying as the projectiles ricocheted off the surface.

Thomas reached the top of the stairwell and ducked behind a pillar for cover. He could hear the guards close behind him, the sound of their footsteps getting louder.
