Season 2. Episode 22.

All Hell Breaks Loose, Part 2.

"Tell me you didn't do it." Saron heavily demanded, standing outside the house where Sam's body laid inside. She couldn't bear to look at his body, so she stood waiting outside for Dean to come back. Waiting for him to admit what he had done.

She felt it as soon as it happened. The deal being made. She felt it twist in her chest deeply.

Dean had been gone for hours. Saron had assumed the worst, that he had either crashed and got himself killed, or was drinking himself to death and suffering in his own pity.

Sam's body laid in the house lifelessly. After she recovered from her injury earlier and staggered over to Dean, her heart broke into a thousand pieces then and there. The happy, energetic Sam Winchester was limp in his brother's arms with a hole in his back.

Dean had turned the Impala's engine off and gotten out, now faced with Saron, "I did what I had to."

"By giving yourself up? Dean, that's suicide!" She shot back. He was about to walk past her without looking, but she grabbed his arm and pulled him back, "Dean!"

"He's my brother! I can't just let him die!" Dean yelled, his eyes watering again. He heavily panted, wiping his hand over his face as he broke their eye contact for a moment. "I can't just-"

"What is it with you Winchesters thinking so low of yourselves?" She shook her head in disbelief, pausing a minute, "You realise what's gonna happen to you?"

"Yeah, I go to hell." He seethed, Saron raised her brows at how calm he said that.

"Exactly, Dean. For all fucking eternity! It's not fun, y'know."

"Trust me, I know that."

Saron shook her head, "No, I don't think you do-"

"I'm not even supposed to be here, Saron!" Dean raised his voice louder again, lifting his arms up, "My dad did the same thing for me. This was gonna happen one way or another."

"Oh yeah? How do you think Sam's gonna feel when he realises you're gonna die? What's he gonna do?" She snapped back just as quick, her mouth going dry as she bit her lip and got a bit quieter and her grip on his arm faltered, "What am I gonna do?"

Dean looked confused at first, taking her hand again as she tried to let go. "What- what do you mean?"

"I don't want you to die, Dean." She admitted, "I don't want any of you to. You don't deserve it..." She replied, both of them going silent for a moment, "How long did you get?"

"Saron..."

"How long did you get?" She repeated, more firmly.

He harshly swallowed as he told her guiltily, "A year." Saron grimaced a bit and moved her head to the side, not bearing to look at the dead-man walking. "You're telling me you wouldn't have done the same? For your- for Victoria?"

Saron was silent whilst her heart loudly pounded. He was right. She had already tried to do that for Victoria... and it didn't work out. She just hoped it worked out for Dean at least.

"I... You're right." She mumbled, her head lowering slightly, "But, a year, Dean."

Dean shrugged in annoyance, "That bitch wasn't in the bargaining mood."

"Should've let me come. I would've ripped her a new one."

"There's still time." He managed to bring himself to smirk, Saron looked up into his eyes. He nodded to the door and began to walk up the steps with her behind him. When they walked inside the building and to Sam's room, the younger Winchester was stood there as if he had never died.
