Season 3. Episode 14.

Long-Distance Call.

Sierra hurried down some stairs, Sam not so far behind her and he could hear her grumbling. "I told you he wouldn't know anything, Sam. This whole thing was a waste of time."

"I know Sierra, I get it." Sam sighed, walking beside her and grimaced at her glares. "We just gotta keep looking. Surely there's someone out there that knows how to save Dean."

Sierra groaned loudly, stopping in her tracks to look up at him, "Sam! How many times do I have to say that there is no way? How many experts do you have to talk to in order to be convinced?" Sam looked defeated for a moment, his shoulders tensing as she ranted. Sierra sighed sadly, shaking her head. "I know it's not what you want to hear... but it's the truth."

Sam didn't meet her eyes, just looking down and then back at Dean. "Come on..." He muttered, walking across the town square and over to Dean, who was finishing a phone call with his mouth full of food.

"So?" Dean asked whilst chewing, standing up from the bench and throwing them two sodas.

Sam glanced unnervingly at Sierra, already knowing she would talk over him even if Sam tried to get a word in. "The professor doesn't know shit. Like I said, this whole thing was pointless!"

"Sierra, calm down-" Sam tried, but she snapped her head up at him.

"Calm down?! Calm down?" She ranted again, "We've been running around aimlessly like headless chickens despite me constantly saying there's nothing we can do!"

"Well we might as well try-!"

"Whoa, hey, easy tigers." Dean held his hand up between them, "It's shocking, really." He sarcastically added, then continued, "Pack your panties, Sammy and Sierra, we're hitting the road."

Sam frowned, watching Dean walk past him, "What? What's up?"

Dean gestured to the phone in his hand, "That was Bobby. Some banker guy blew his head off in Ohio and he thinks there's a spirit involved."

"So you two were talking a case?" Sam frowned, putting his hands in his pockets as Sierra folded her arms.

"No, we were actually talking about our feelings. And then our favourite boy bands." Dean sarcastically continued with a soft expression, then his face dropped, "Yeah, we were talking a case!"

Sam gave his brother a bitch-face whilst Sierra shook her head, sighing, "So a spirit, what?"

"Yeah, the banker was talking about some sort of electrical problems at his pad for like a week." Dean explained, "Phone was going haywire, computer was flipping on and off."

"Electrical problems?" Sierra repeated with a raised brow. Dean nodded. That usually means spirit involvement, yes... but often it could also mean demonic.

Dean saw Sam's dull expression, tilting his head at his younger brother, "This is not ringing your bell?"

"Well, sure, yeah. But, Dean, we're already on a case." Sam reminded.

Dean frowned, "Whose?"

"Yours."

"Right." Dean rolled his eyes, "Yeah. Well, you coulda fooled me."

"What the hell else have we been doing lately other than trying to break your deal?" Sam raised his voice at his brother's unbothered tone.

"Wasting our time." Sierra sang under her breath.
