Chapter 17- Lorenzo's POV

I stare in the rear mirror at my little sister trying to make myself believe it, after 9 years of searching desperately my baby sister was finally home

I still remember the call I got a couple of days ago

Flash Back: 

I was sitting at my desk working on some files for alliances that were important for the Italian Mafia, I accidently knocked over my glass of wine when my brother Elijah busted through my office doors, gasping like he just ran a marathon

I look up glaring at him which would make normal people shake with fear but he didn't pay attention to me 

"Next time knock, before you barge in, you just ruined two important documents for the alliance with the British Mafia"

"Lor.. En.. zo" He say out of breath trying to catch his breath

I stop trying to save the soaking documents and look up at him, the last time he was this excited was when we got a new lead on Lia...

"What.." I say in a cold voice trying to ignore the tiny spark of hope that he may of found her, 

"I found something, about Lia"

I shoot up knocking my glass over more documents but I don't care

"Show me now" I demand

He pulls open his laptop and shows me a record from a police station in New York, I lean over to read it, I force my mouth to not drop as I read about a girl who has just been recently put in the system 

13 years old, One blue one green eye, brown hair, and the most shocking part, the blood test has been come back and we have been notified that it matches ours

I sit down on my chair hardly breathing... We found her, finally after years and years of searching and she randomly turns up in the system... it was like she never existed until today

I grab my phone and begin making multiple phone calls to bring the missing piece of our family home after 9 years

End Of Flash Back

I watch as she struggles to stay awake,  

"You can sleep Talia, I know you must be tired you had a 9 hour flight" I say softly 

I see her hesitate before she says something that breaks me

"You won't like touch me will you because I don't like when people take advantage of me when I am asleep...." she trails off going red like she embarrassed

I stop the car abruptly and turns around "Talia I am your brother I would never take advantage of you... Why would you ever think that.. did someone ever..." I trail off, 

I don't think she noticed but I could see her flinch as I turned around and her hands moved like she thought I was going to hit her

That may have been a perfectly normal thing to do because she doesn't trust me yet, but I could feel my mind screaming something was wrong

I needed to build her trust, maybe she would open up to me then, I needed to know how a little girl goes missing and the Italian Mafia cannot find her despite being the best mafia in the world, even with the other Mafia's helping there is nothing to find

And then she randomly turns up 9 years later without any background like she never existed before a couple of days ago

I wasn't stupid, her life was obviously would not have been Sunshine and Rainbows but I was praying that her kidnappers would of dumped her in a orphanage or with her sorry excuse for a mother
