Everyone was making there way to the dinning for lunch and I stayed behind with Angelo
"So like how old are you?" I ask curiously
Everyone seemed to know basically everything about me but I knew nothing about any of them'
His face falls slightly before he covers it "I just turned 18 a couple of months ago"
"Well I am 13"
"I know" He answers like its obvious
"I keep forgetting you already knew me" I laugh but he doesn't even crack a smile
His expression was something I couldn't quite put my finger, there was so much pain in his eyes that instantly I felt bad for no reason
"Do you like want a hug or something?" I offer not really knowing what to do
To my surprise he doesn't say no and instead pulls me into a tight hug
"Please don't leave us again" He mummers under his breath
I could feel my heart breaking, not only had my mother managed to hurt me but all my family as well, I would never be able to forgive her for that.. how could someone be that evil?
"Talia and Angelo hurry up!" My eldest brother orders making Angelo release me from the hug
We both hurry into the dinning room and I sit next to Elijah as usual
"You good?" He mouths and I smile
There was no use worrying everyone about something that could not and could never be changed
I am just grateful I was able to meet my brothers and I didn't go my whole life not knowing I had a family somewhere out there who desperately were trying to find me
Plates are placed on the table, as well as food
Everyone was already talking and I talked to Marco and Angelo about school and Sadie who was currently somewhere upstairs
"So Talia.."
Instantly I straighten up when my uncle began talking to me
"Uh yes... sir?"
The talking stopped immediately and Lorenzo froze for a second as if remembering something
Jeez.. I have a knack of drawing unwanted attention to myself...
"Have you recovered from the incident" He looks at Lorenzo pointedly, who didn't look bothered by the look
"Uh yes thank you" I mutter awkwardly
"That's good, and you are happy here right?"
This caught me off guard a little "Yeah?"
My answer sounded more like a question then an answer but he just nodded
"Good, good I just want to make sure Lorenzo is capable of taking care of you all on his own"
"Alessandro" Lorenzo hisses warning him
"Your sure?" He asks again
"She's fine, she said so herself" Lorenzo snaps glaring at him
"I want to hear it from Talia, I don't think you realize but your taking care of a child, and you don't exactly have the best track record of being able to take care of people."
"Please tell me, where have you heard this from" Lorenzo scoffs
"Do you want me to list them, first off, there is those two boys that you let into your home that-"
