Chapter 36: Guardian Angel

Third Person:

Her brothers were too mad to give her food that night so she went hungry, it was actually been late in the afternoon when she woke up but she thought it was still yesterday night because her room was dark due to the lack of light

All her brothers weren't home for a while hence why no one came when everything was being destroyed

Lorenzo had knocked on her door about 10 minutes after she passed out but no one answered so he went back downstairs thinking she was refusing to talk to him

Her brothers ate their dinner in silence at the table oblivious to the fact that their sister was becoming increasingly ill from the cold water and loss of blood

She had been there unconscious for almost half an hour, her lips were turning a bluish purple and her body was frozen, she was barely breathing at this point.

Lorenzo's POV:

Something was wrong, I had a weird feeling as I sat down to eat lunch

I had knocked on Talia's door but there was no answer and I could only hear the shower running, I had decided to leave her alone a little longer and go eat 

Thinking back on what happened yesterday I knew I messed up, I never should of laid a finger on her 

My brothers were all silent, there was a big fight last night, Leonardo and the twins refused to take Daniel's side and yelled at me for not believing Talia

While Elijah, Rocco and me believe that she was lying and just looking for attention, her story didn't make sense because Daniels dad had died a long time ago

That didn't mean that we hated her, we just wanted her to tell the truth

"She needs food"

Everyone looks up as Leonardo speaks

"Its been a day since she's eaten, I was away the whole day at the clinic, did anyone give her food?"

The table was silent and I could feel Leonardo glaring at me

"She hasn't had food all day you idiots, and she barely had anything yesterday too"

"I knocked on her door, she's in the shower she can come down and eat after" I shrug picking at my food not feeling hungry anymore

"Oh so now she can come out of her room" Xavier snaps at me

I bang my fist on the table

"She is in trouble because she lied, she needs to understand that-"

Leonardo cuts me off "Your so full of it Lorenzo, you go on and on about how family is everything and then you take Rocco's friends side what kind of brother are you" 

 I narrow my eyes at him, why couldn't they understand what I was saying

"Don't talk to me like that, I tried reasoning with her but she kept lying" I shout completely losing my patience 

This past week had been extremely stressful, I had found out we had a mole in our company, I had not had a lot of sleep this past week and because I was so tired I almost fell asleep in a critically important alliance meeting between the Italian and British Mafia

That almost jeopardized everything I had been planning for months

"Can't you at least look into it" He begs me and I can see the pain in his eyes
