They would then start to hunt down desperate wandering souls like him.

Step by step. Jaffery was vigilant and he didn't allow anything to escape from his eye. The street lights were flickering giving this already haunted part of the city a more appalling sight. This only made a chill to run through Jaffery's spine as he feared that a corrupted beasts might pounce on him the moment the lights went off.

"Why do I feel like I am being watched?" Jaffery asked himself. He didn't ignore this instinctive feeling and got out his cleaver. Even if his hands were trembling and his whole body was sweating but Jaffery didn't allow the cleaver to fall from his grasp. This was the only weapon that he had, he could not afford to lose it.

Suddenly, Jaffery came to a halt. The thing that was watching him seemed to be too close in sight and Jaffery feared that if he made a step forward, his head would roll. The overly flickering light only made the situation worse. Jaffery felt like he would pee on himself the next instant. The fear was too overwhelming.

"Come out you motherfucker! You fucker, show your stupid face now!..." Jaffery hollered with a trembling voice but he didn't saw anything showing itself. He glanced all around him but he didn't saw anything but he could feel that something malignant had locked on him.

"Shit!" Jaffery gritted his teeth and run towards the OXEN club without caring. To him, it was better to fight the corrupted beasts in the club than something that could not be seen.

Luckily, the thing from the darkness didn't ambush Jaffery as anticipated, he safely got into the entrance of the club. While at this place, Jaffery could not help but heave a sigh because the thing that was watching him silently had decided to give him some leeway.

At the entrance of the club, Jaffery didn't saw the people who charged the entrance fee nor the bouncers who stood there, he was only met with countless corpses and minced bodies. It seemed like when the corrupted beasts entered into the club, everyone who was partying run for the exit causing others who were weak and not fast enough to be trampled to death.

Jaffery could see heads with popping eyes, intestines comming out of the disseminated bodies, several severed appendages could be seen around and as to whom those appendages belonged to, Jaffery didn't knew, There was blood and an encompassing fetid stench everywhere, the blood had even formed a pool in front of the entrance. This gory site had awakened the bloodsucking insects like the flies from their slumber as even if it was still midnight, Jaffery could still see countless flies hovering over the corpses fervently.

"This!"

Jaffery jumped over the corpses and got into the club. Inside the club, the situation was just the same as that on the entrance. Half eaten corpses could be seen all over and even the plump club DJ and celebrity Sand Boy on the podium were not left out.

"I don't have to proceed so much into the club. What I just need to do is find a corner to hide myself in so that I could Google all that I want.

Jaffery was thankful because for some reasons, there was no any corrupted beast that could be seen on the ground floor but this didn't mean that Jaffery could put his guard down, instead, Jaffery was all vigilant because he didn't like the way things were this calm. It just made his heart to beat even faster as if he was going to be swallowed by a disgusting beast.

Jaffery went behind the counter of the ground floor and sat on the bar stool behind the counter. Jaffery kept his head low and it was well hidden by the counter so he was not overly agitated and panicky that any corrupted beast would see him but he forgot that the corrupted beasts didn't have to see him as to them, they were merely seeing humans as flickering of lifeforces.

Even if a human hidden themselves behind a wall, their lifeforces would still register in the eyes of the corrupted beasts on opposite side of the wall. And just like that, without knowing, Jaffery had attracted some corrupted beasts that were still on the ground floor.

"Steps on how to successfully start and drive a car." With a smile on his face, Jaffery murmured as he clicked on the trope. 

Very quickly, the topic and its well defined description surfaced on the screen of Jaffery's phone but when Jaffery was about to read these descriptions, he could feel that something was not right, yes. Something had locked on him and it was moving towards his side slowly by slowly. Jaffery didn't dare to raise his head to see what it was as he didn't want the beast to know that he had discovered it, he ignored it and took several screenshots of the driving skill description.

"Well everything is now fine. No. Victor sent me some link." Jaffery quickly opened the messaging app with his trembling hands and clicked on the link that Victor sent to him.
