Jaffery was busy fighting and he had lost his rationality because the spirit of the skill had taken over him, so, he was indifferent to the voice of the Eminence which led to his stats to be assigned automatically to his spirit. His spirit which was only a meager 10 points was now 12 points.

Meanwhile, Jaffery slashed the throat of the beast making its blood to splash over him but he quickly summoned the rest of the blood and drank it before it was lost in the rain. 

And without even knowing, Jaffery's injuries were healing even though at a slow rate. The energy in the blood of the beasts was being absorbed by him and used to heal the tissues that had been torn apart.

Just as usual, the Eminence assigned the stats gained to spirit thus, bringing Jaffery's spirit from 12 points to 14. 

And as Jaffery's spirit increased, his clarity was coming back to him. He was starting to be himself. The huge inflow of spirit was buffing his suppressed soul making him strong to win over the spirit of the skill consume.

One should know that even though Jaffery had killed many beasts by now, he hadn't picked up any red card or gift that fell from the beasts killed because he was not himself but now that his rationality was back, Jaffery's brutality waned. He didn't knew how the spirit managed to use his hand as a weapon and the thus涸 he was quickly overwhelmed by them.

Make no mistake, the red cards and gifts given by the Eminence would disappear after some time if they were not collected so, one had to collect them and either learn the skills or keep the skills with them.

"That presence is now gone. I don't know how it will affect him." Malam asked himself after getting the now usual aura from Jaffery.

"I feel so different. I don't know why?" Jaffery took a closer look at himself and saw that all his damaged organs had been rejuvenated by the skill consume however, the worms were still with him and they were again back to it, ravaging his body. What he had painstakingly built was being brought down by the worms.

"This can not go on. I have to do something so that I can get rid of these worms." While Jaffery was busy talking to himself, a claw was sent his way which sent him flying as he rolled over on the flowing water on the ground, even before he stood up, countless beast had already surrounded him with their teeth showing.

Without hesitating, Jaffery quickly dodged their threatening attack albeit not sure. 

"I have had enough of this! My woman died just because of me. Yes. I was the one who brought her here so that she could get her injuries to be attended to but what happened to her? She is no more. Just because of you filthy creatures. You must die! It's all your fault." Tears rolled down his cheeks as he said this but they were quickly washed away by the rain.

"Jaff, now that you are back, let's get out of this place. I am tired of fighting these beasts, we better escape now so that we could fight tomorrow." Malam who was tiredly fighting uttered in a forced voice.

"My woman died to the maws of these damn things and I have to avenge her. If you want to leave, you just leave. Furthermore, I have to get to the pharmacy even if I will have to get there as a corpse then so be it." Jaffery was adamant and he didn't took to heart what Malam had just said.

Malam stared at the neverending waves of the beasts and back at the already damaged car and staggered towards it, his glaive never rested as he cleared his way towards the car.

"I have to see her corpses one last time before I leave this place." Malam thought.

"Rabi... My Rabi. Are you there? I am so sorry that this has to happen." Malam opened the car door and his heart nearly leapt out if his chest for what he saw.

"Rabi, you are still alive? Then what about... Oooh no! I miscalculated but this is still for the best." Malam took Rabi into his arms and turned to Jaffery.

"Jaff. I am going to look for a car and I will be back to save you." With that, Malam waved his glaive from side to side and escaped from the hospital together with his backpack and Rabi in tow.

"One must sacrifice a part of them so that they can get the greater good of what they are seeking..." Jaffery said a verse from the consume skill. He never understood this verse but now that he was speaking it out loud and after he remembered what he had done previously, the puzzle was now being fixed.

"I must lose something that I have gained." Jaffery quickly got into action. What he was about to do might be crazy but it would be worth it at last.

"These worms had been a pain in my ass for a long time. It's about time that I get rid of them." 

Taking a quick glance at the beasts that were squirming among themselves and their claws that were about to extinguish his life, Jaffery didn't panic but he was somber instead, he closed his eyes and mattered the verse of the skill Consume. Right there, all his internal energy went into a mayhem and raptured all his internal organs that he had painstakingly built.

The pain that he went through was unbearable and Jaffery could not help but spurt out some blood and some pieces of flesh together with severed pieces of worms. 

This was not even the end as everything in his body including the putrid matter was wholly grinded and consumed by his bones. This made his weak bones stronger and stronger but Jaffery was left as an empty shell.

"I am so hungry." Jaffery could not help but utter this which made the beasts to start hesitating as they stared at each other, wandering whether they should keep chasing for this being that had refused to fall.

However, Jaffery didn't gave them a chance to consider as he got out his cleaver and moved.

He only had three minutes before his body collapsed and then he would never see another day. Yes, he had to recreate his organs before the three minutes are out. One should also know that the worms in his body had already been wholly consumed by him and strengthened his bones. His body was now safe from the worms. He also didn't got any experience from the worms killed because they were taken as a part of him, Jaffery could not gain experience for killing his leg, right?

Anyway, Jaffery's blade only aimed at the vitals and weak spots of the beasts and he had also allowed the skill consume to run so, they existed as two spirits controlling a single body. Jaffery didn't have too much spirit that could suppress the strong spirit of skill consume completely so, he would just have to exist together with it.

As Jaffery killed the beasts, the skill consume enabled him to absorb the blood energy of the beasts, he also didn't forget to collect the red cards and gifts from the fallen beasts. 

"My organs are 80% completely recreated and I have remained with only a minute. I think this time is enough for me to finish the recreation." Jaffery thought but when he stared at what was in front of him, he halted his advances and blood drained from his face.

"Why?" Jaffery asked.
