"Mom?" Julianne called out through the corners of the forest. She looked around at the terraformed structures, wondering if her mother was around here somewhere. All three of her siblings had gone to the lake without her. Surely her mother didn't leave her alone either.

As she walked through the flowery vineyard, she spotted her mother. She was leaning over her garden. Julianne watched her curl her fingers around the weeds and yank them out of the soil. She watched in awe.

"You can come on out, Julianne." Her mother called out to her young daughter, acknowledging her without even needing to see her. Julianne was mesmerized by her mother's agility and slickness.

She stood up, brushing the grass off of her red dress, and ran to her mother's side. "How did you see me, mama?" She whispered. For someone reason, Julianne believed that if she spoke too loudly she'd alarm the flowers.

She looked along the floral rows. Pansies and hydrangeas scatters along the fence line, staining the world in natural colors. Bees buzzed over each pollen-infested flower with their soft hums emitting from their tiny bodies.

"I didn't have to, kiddo. I just have a way of knowing." Her mother glanced down at Julianne and winked. This made Julianne's smile burn all the brighter. "Why don't you use it for something cooler? You could be a spy!" She gasped and held onto her mother's sleeve. She laughed.

"Then who will take care of the flowers?" Her mother's smile made her happy. The way she cared about every living thing inspired her. "Garden monsters are compassionate creatures, Julianne. We have this title so our home never feels neglected." She whispered as she massaged her fingers through the dirt.

Her gloved hand wrapped softly around Julianne's wrist, leading her tiny hand to one of the weeds. "Pull out this weed for me, Julianne."

With an excited grin on her face, Julianne stood up and pulled the invasive weed out of the dirt with all her might.

Julie trudged through the ditch in the road, making her way through in order to get back to the house. She would not run away from Walden. She'd run straight towards him.

Through the dark and thundering clouds, she could see the faint glow of their house up on the hill. Her mind was fuzzy and her eyes were focusing in and out of reality. "Julianne..." She groaned softly as her knees grew weaker.

She could almost feel Julianne's soul smile within her. 'I told you you'd snap, bunny.'

Her eyelids grew heavier. She knew she was on the verge of losing consciousness any minute now. But she wouldn't stop until she was home to destroy her garden. She recalled the words she told Ophelia.

"Maybe it's a good idea to not let them reign so much chaos over the garden."

While her breathing was still heavy and her body was still soaked in sweat, she eventually made it to the driveway. Her energy was low. She should be dead right now. But no. It was about time she used Julianne for what she was here for. It was time to put her faith in her savior.

She clawed her way past the front door, not even bothering to close it behind her. She placed her feet one in front of the other. "Walk, Julie. Walk."

Each step felt slower and slower. Every time her muscles stopped moving, she felt closer to death. She nearly collapsed down the porch. She crawled through the grass. She would rip apart this garden even if it was the last thing she did.

Finally, she gripped the stem of the first flower and ripped out of the dirt it with all of her remaining strength. Again and again and again, she ripped more and more flowers from their bedded states. This was carnage. This was fury.

All the petal's eyes stared directly at her. They buzzed and fluttered in protest, but she didn't hold back. She was being held up on her feet by anger and anger only.

She remembered being merely four years old again. Pulling out weeds with her mother. "We're compassionate creatures, Julianne."

But where has compassion ever gotten her? She's seen only pain and hurt while living up to her maiden name. Julie Joyful, compassionate garden monster.

She could hear the rip of the roots, hearing the tear of the plant system as she laid waste to her garden. Rain fell down her head as she grinned.

She leaned back, looking at the demolished plain of dirt and shredded grass. Her body writhed in sudden pain. She landed sharply against the grass. Tugging, pulling, grasping at the grass as she screamed out in terrified pain. She felt as if every eye ever opened was looking straight at her.

The blades ran over her skin as it tore apart. Her flesh gaped, blood running down her skin. Like yeast being pulled apart, she was torn. Inky tresses began to seep through the scars of her skin. She could taste the coppery tang of blood on her lips.

Come in, Julianne.

[Name] ran out of the house, still in her pajamas as she grabbed her car keys from beside the door. She could hear the wind as the thunder outside grew louder. She grabbed the umbrella leaning against the wall and dashed out of the house without another word.

Thymia waved goodbye with an approving smile. Cod, rubbing his eyes, walking towards his mother and leaned his head on top of hers. "The hell is she doing?" He grumbled. Thymia scoffed out a small laugh. "What isn't she doing?"

[Name] threw herself into the drivers seat. Without even buckling herself in, she started up the engine and drove into the night.

As she drove, she kept Julie on her mind. Their drive through the city on their way to her home, the way they laughed when running through the parking lot...

Julie's laughter made her heart beat faster. The softness in her tone, the way she smiled, it made [Name] love her even more. "Don't worry, Julie. I'll make sure you keep that smile on your face." She hissed to herself as she sped up.
