28. Reconcile

Jake's pov

Im busy packing for the trip , when i abruptly receive a call . Too immersed in packing i flinch a little and check the caller's id before receiving it.

"Hey mate"

"Hey! How ya doin bro!"

I grin at his playful voice " good , just packing"

"Going somewhere?"

"Busan"

Theres a long silence in between making me check the if he's still on the call "hello? Chris you still there?"

"Yeah , i am just..... be careful"

"Will do dont worry mate"

"Good thing i had sent you a parcel , thats the reason why i actually called to inform you there are cameras in it , install them in your house and stay alert at all costs , i'll try to track them down without getting caught like last time and remember no risk's , you weapon with you all the time" he explains , his once boisterous tone now serious and i only hum in response.

"Alright , say hi to aunt from me and have fun g'day mate! Bye!"

"Bye" i drop the call and when finally done packing i decide to go check for the parcel but am only met by...... a complete chaos in the living room.

Suitcases and bags all over the place , not to mention even jackets lying over the couch. The only normal being i see is jungwon using his phone sitting on the bean bag with a (probably his) suitcase. He looks up and waves at me making me wave back at him.

"Sunoo-ah! Where the hell did you put my converse" Sunghoon comes out of his room , his brows furrowed , clearly frustrated. "What do you mean where i put them , i didn't even touch them" he rolls his eyes pissing off Sunghoon even more.

"Then who-"

"I did" heeseung casually speaks coming out of his room with yeji and their suitcases. Sunghoon stares at him wide -eyed , not believing how nonchalantly he said that when he doesn't like anyone touching his stuff for no reason. "You-"

Jay grabs him from the back of his collar making him stumble before he could throw a fit at heeseung who in attempt to defend himself hides behind yeji making her laugh. "Yah! Yah! Enough , i know where they are do not create a scene this early in the morning."

"But-"

"Just hush Sunghoon-ssi unless you want me to burn your converse" jay glares at him making Sunghoon shut up immediately. I laugh at the bickering duo but halt when ear someone else giggling from behind. I turn to look around , and see aera giggling witnessing the scene and she looks...... gorgeous

She's wearing one of the floral frocks she used to wear in busan and her hair falls till her waist , loosely clipped from behind making her bangs falls over her face. I feel my breath stuck in my throat , my heartbeat accelerating just by looking at her. She turns to look at me and smiles and i feel like my heart will blast out of my rib cage.

I keep staring at her , not noticing when Sunghoon walks up to her and gives her a side hug pulling her closer to him. "Oh look who's ready , You look beautiful, jagi"

Aera blushes hard at his statement muttering a small 'thank you' and he kisses her cheek making her look away instantly, probably hiding the fact how red she is. I can't help but feel a pang of jealousy since.... It should have been me.
