Spying

I feel an arm slither around my waist, gently pulling me closer, waking me up from my sleep. Instinctively, I snuggle into the warmth, the comforting embrace. But something feels different this time.

"You're awake" I say opening my eyes.

"Nope, definitely still asleep," comes the muffled reply, followed by a light chuckle that sends a shiver down my spine.

I can't help but smile at his denial. "Nice try, Kaine."

He shifts slightly beside me, his touch lingering as if he's reluctant to let go. "Can't blame a guy for trying," he teases, his breath warm against my neck.

"We should get up," I suggest reluctantly, knowing that responsibilities await us beyond the confines of our bed."I don't wanna," he protests, his voice muffled as he buries his face in the crook of my neck.

"Why not?" I ask, running my fingers through his tousled hair, feeling the steady rise and fall of his chest against mine."Because I'm afraid," he confesses softly, his words barely a whisper against my skin. "Afraid that I'll wake up, and that this is all just a dream."

Well, i can confirm that this isn't a dream" i say with a smile on my face.

"are you sure Ryann, because i really like this dream" he lifts his head and his eyes meet mine.

"i'm a 100 percent positif, now get off and lets go" i feel kaine slowly getting away from me. cold air takes his place in an instant.  

i push myself off the bed and look for some decent clothes to wear.

"what are we going to do?" i ask Kaine.

"spying, duuhh" he says dragging out the last part. 

"right" i answer confused and shift my attention back to my decision on clothes.

"you know, you should wear those jeans i got you yesterday, they make you look hot" he suggests.

i till my head to his direction and raise my eyebrows "so you saying that if i do not wear the jeans, i don't look hot?" i say giving him a skeptical look.

"i did not say that, you're always hot" i roll my eyes at his pathetic answer.

a few minutes go by and we're both fully clothed and ready to go. 

"i'm starving" i tell him.

"oh yeah right, let me just magic some food for you" Kaine says sarcastically putting his hands up.

"you knew i didn't mean it like that, i just want some food alright" i tell him whit a smile.

"where you wanna go?" Kaine asks handing me my bag.

"oke i know that this sounds totally crazy,  but hear me out" i tell him. "can we get ice cream?" i ask.

"oke, i did not prepare for that".

"so, can we?" i try to give him my best attempt at puppy eyes. i don't think that it works tho, but who can blame me right. 

"sure, whatever you want Doll" He says holding the door open for me.

"god, kaine it's almost like you're a gentleman" i walk through the door and wait for kaine to lock it so we can get moving.

we walk down the hall and arrive at the elevator which is unfortunately at the 14th floor.

"we can walk" i say as Kaine presses the buttons rapidly.

He looks at me with a shocked expression plastered all over his face "what?" i ask him.
