Flashback

“You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you?” he said while cuffing my wrist.

Ngunit tila wala akong maintindihan na kahit ano. Tuluyan ng nablanko ang aking isip at naghahalo halo ang eksenang nangyari kanina.

The blood, screams, painful cries, and my mother.. my mother.. She's pregnant but I managed to kill her mercilessly.

Kusang tumulo ang luha ko ngunit wala pa'rin kahit emosyong lumalabas sa aking mukha. Tuloy tuloy lang ang pagluha na halos hindi ko na makita ang mga taong nasa paligid ko. All I can hear is the sirens of the police.

Kahit masakit ang pagkakahawak sa akin ay walang kahit anong salitang lumabas sa bibig ko. I just let them dragged me.

“Ang bobo talaga ng bata na ‘yon. Pipili nalang may sira pa sa utak.”

Napalingon ako sa gawi ng taong nagsalita. I was startled seeing Dalton's father staring at me with pure grimace and disappointment on his face.

My heart palpitated loudly when he walked towards me, slamming his hand on the table just behind me.

"I'm not c-crazy," I whispered, feeling the fear and embarrassment rise inside of me. "I'm.. I’m not a murderer."

Dalton's father stood there, glaring down at me, the disgust he felt for me was palpable.

"No? And what should we call you, then? A crazy slut?” he laughed mockingly.

Dalton's father gripped my jaw, the force of his hand making my head snapped back. I stared at him, stunned and scared.

I could feel his anger radiating off him and I was frozen in fear. He leaned in toward me as if wanting to tell me something, his grip tightening.

He hissed at me, speaking in a low menacing voice. "I should have known, I should've figured out what kind of girl he was hanging with."

He shook his head and stepped away, his grip slowly letting go of my jaw. "Crazy slut," he snarled, his words dripping with disgust.

Napahawak ako sa aking pisngi dahil halos bumaon ang kaniyang kuko sa aking balat. Hindi ko maiwasang masaktan sa mga sinasabi niya dahil alam kong ang lahat ng ‘yon ay totoo.

He's in critical condition because of me. Kung sana ay hindi ko sila iniwan ng ganon at hindi hinayaanng mag-isip na baka may iba akong lalaki ay hindi nila magagawang sundan pa ako dito. Hindi mangyayari ang aksidenteng yon kung sana ay nag-isip ako ng mabuti.

But I couldn't change it now, it already happened.

I didn't say anything, just continued to stare at him. I could feel his anger and resentment radiating off of him and I had no reply to give him.

"He loves you, and because of you, he's in the hospital." He paused, his words growing softer, the anger leaving his voice.

"I don't know how he can love you, he's probably lost all sense like you have.” he growled.

“I-I’m sorry.. I-I’m sorry..” ang tangi kong nasabi at nagbaba ng tingin para iwasan ang matalim nitong tingin.

Magkamukhang magkamukha silang dalawa ni Dalton, kaya mahirap sa aking tanggapin ang lahat ng salitang lumalabas sa bibig niya dahil pakiramdam ko ay si Dalton ang kaharap ko.
