Three cannons went off that day.

It was only the third day in the arena and thirteen had been eliminated.

Clove and Katniss start to carry out their plan. Firstly, they needed to get close to the Careers base camp.

A thought crosses Clove's mind. "What made you get that eleven?" Even with the alliance, she still felt some jealousy over the score.

"I shot the Gamemakers." Katniss replies simply. Clove's jaw drops and she turns to look at the girl standing next to her.

"You shot the Gamemakers?!" She asks in bewilderment. Not even Clove would take it that far, no matter how upset she was.

"Well I guess I should specify, I shot the apple out of that stupid roast pigs mouth; they weren't paying attention to me." She chuckles slightly. "That sure got all eyes on myself. I guess they just liked my firey attitude."

Clove grins. The more she got to know Katniss, the harder it got to know she has to kill her later on, in order to go home. "So what's your weapon?" She asks, slightly diverting the subject.

"Bow and arrow. Archery. The things I would do to get my hands on that bow and arrow that Glimmer has." She sighs. Clove gives it some thought.

"We could try to get it from Glimmer." Clove suggests. Katniss' face lights up at the thought. "Maybe after we kill her. Trust me, she is an easy target. It might be so simple that we could kill all three in one day."

"That sounds a little risky." Katniss says. "Plus you said you had a special thing in mind you were saving for Cato's death?"

Even just the mere sound of his name was enough to send shivers down her spine. Oh snap out of it. Clove thinks to herself. "Yeah, well. I'm just going to use his weakness against him." She knows deep down it's a risky move to do what she has planned.

"And that is?" Katniss looks at Clove.

"Girls." Clove smirks. Even Katniss puts on a slight grin at the word. "He's pretty much a fuckboy." She mumbles.

"Now I know why you haven't told me the plan yet." Katniss says. "And I'm pretty sure I can picture the whole thing in my mind."

Clove waves her hand in the air. "Pfft. Don't worry I won't take it too far. I'll just have a little fun before he dies." She smirks.

"You really are a bloodthirsty killer." Katniss marvels.

Clove nods but doesn't say anything. They continue to walk until the reach the Career base camp. As soon as the Cornucopia is in sight, they drop to the ground and crawl behind a thick bush, where they could view everything without being seen by their enemies. "There. Glimmer is sitting on those crates." Clove points to the direction the blonde girl sat, fiddling with her bow. "Marvel is sharpening his spear, and I assume Cato is on the other side of the Cornucopia." Clove says. Katniss nods. Turns out Clove is right, because a moment later, Cato pops out from the other side and joins his two allies.

The girls watch as the Careers eat a quick meal, before heading into the woods to hunt. "Let's go." Katniss murmurs quietly. They both start to climb the trees. They use a technique Katniss taught Clove, getting from one tree to another. Since Katniss seemed to have been doing that her whole life, she could take the slimmer branches. Clove, however, didn't trust herself up high yet, even though she probably weighed less than Katniss. She sticks to the lower branches.
