4- ice is colder

Gradient was pretty sure Silver's current boyfriend, Stormtalons, was a cheating jerk, but telling Silver that wouldn't help him in the long run as if he didn't believe Gradient then when he did find out he would feel guilty for not believing Gradient which isn't what Gradient wants. Gradient nervously put on some make-up, he had a slight idea, he'd pretend to be a normal icewing and see if Stormtalons would try and make a move.

Gradient covered all traces of non-icewing blood with a layer of light blue make-up, he looked nearly like a icewing. Gradient then held back his head fluff and put on some light pale blue liquid in his fluff making it look like he was a spikeless icewing. Gradient finally added some spikes all the way down until he looked perfectly like an icewing.

Gradient stared at himself in the mirror, he took off his ring and pulled the red gem out, nervously piercing it into his ear. By the time Gradient was done with his disguise he looked absolutely different, he also decided to take a cuter pair of glasses to make sure nobody recognized him.

Gradient made his way to the restaurant Silver said he was having his date, Gradient felt many nightwings staring at him whispering, it made him feel self conscious about every step. As Gradient entered the restaurant he was quickly served by a very cute nightwing who seemed very nervous, "Um.... Wh-What can I get you s-sir?"

Gradient quickly put on a deep and regal voice and said, "Cooked cow with something sweet, perhaps a fruit." The nightwing quickly rushed off as if he was excited about fulfilling the order. Gradient watched as Silver and Stormtalons talked, soon Silver got up and walked to the restroom area.

Stormtalons suddenly caught Gradient staring and walked over, "Hey there, haven't seen you around, what's your name, handsome?" Gradient felt immediately flustered and angry, but he stayed calm and in his deep and regal said, "Oh, I'm Colder, may I ask what you want?" Stormtalons smiled and said, "Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come home with me?"

Gradient took his time thinking, suddenly he saw Silver approaching, before Silver could say anything Gradient asked, "Sorry, but can you repeat the question?" Stormtalons nodded, unaware of Silver standing behind him, "Sure, I said, do you want to come home with me, cutie?" Gradient saw the heart break in Silver's eyes.

"What about your boyfriend?" Gradient asked in his regal and deep voice, Stormtalons then replied, "Silver? Oh he's nothing but a placeholder for when I get a boyfriend worthy of m-" he finally realized Silver was behind him, "S-Silver, it's not what it sounds lik-" Stormtalons was cut off by Gradient shoving him out of the way to comfort Silver, "It's ok, jerks like him don't deserve you." Gradient said in his still acting voice.

Stormtalons tried to find any words to explain but quickly realized he couldn't convince Silver and left. Gradient, still acting as Colder offered Silver to join him in his meal to forget about Stormtalons, Silver accepted and soon they ate together, Gradient hoped Silver would feel better after this.
