Gradient had been flying for quite some some time before landing on an island near the seawing kingdom, or where he was pretty sure the seawing kingdom was. He quickly walked around the small island, it was clearly used by a lot by someone, or a lot of Dragons, needless to say Gradient saw no problem using it as a temporary place for him to sleep.

Gradient found a nice place to lay down and rest, he put his glasses in his pouch and laid down, the run resting on his wings and back scales. Suddenly, Gradient heard a splashing noise and quickly turned to see what it was, he couldn't tell but he was pretty sure it was a green seawing and a purple one.

Gradient could see the glowing of their scales and instantly knew they were speaking in aquatic to make sure he didn't understand then. Gradient simply rolled his eyes at this and quickly fetched his glasses, he could see more clearly now that the purple Seawing was a dragonet, a aggressive one at that and the green one looked more timid.

"Can I help either of you?" Gradient asked nervously, hoping he hadn't accidentally broken a seawing law by trying to rest on the island. The green seawing then suddenly said, "Well um... This island is ment to be used for a ceremony tomorrow and we were wondering what you were doing here?" Gradient quickly got up and said, "Oh! I'm so sorry, I had no idea!"

Gradient quickly dusted off his wings and said, "Anyways, I'm l-looking for a dragon by the name A-Albatross, do e-either of you know h-him?" There was a moment of silence before the purple Seawing then said, "What business do you have with Albatross?" Gradient quickly replied, "I h-heard he's an animus and as m-my father w-was also an animus, I figured my f-father's knowledge would b-be better used on him."

The purple Seawing continued glaring at Gradient until the green one intervened and said, "Indigo, I think he's no harm." He then turned to Gradient and saying, "Anyway, I'm Fathom and my friend here is Indigo, who are you?" Gradient was shocked to hear those names but said, "I'm Gradient."

Indigo then said, "What's a... Sandwing? Or whatever you are have to say to Albatross, he's much older than you and probably your father, wouldn't he want lessons from Albatross?" Gradient shrugged and said, "I mean, he might, if he was still alive." There was an awkward silence from both Fathom and Indigo.

Fathom interrupted the silence by saying, "um... Well, Albatross and the Queen will be here tomorrow, to check for other animus seawings." Gradient was surprised by his luck and said, "Good to know, thank you... May I rest here for the night?" Fathom nodded and he and Indigo quickly swam off, talking in aquatic the whole way as Gradient laid down and rested, he hoped Silver was doing well.
