Silver and Gradient had headed home after they got done at the castle, Silver was super curious about what had happened in the throne room but Gradient refused to tell him and no-one else was in the room, so Silver wasn't sure what happened.
As they both landed at the cave Gradient was unusually silent, as if he were planning something in his head, "Hey Gradient, are you ok, you've been quiet since we got back from the castle?" Silver asked, causing Gradient to break from his seemingly internalized trance and reply, "Oh... Um... I'm fine just a little tired is all..."
Silver could tell instantly that Gradient was lying and said, "Gradient, I know you're lying, whatever is wrong you can tell me." Gradient hesitated before taking a breath and saying, "Silver... Queen Vigilance wants me to live in the castle but to do so I would have to leave you alone here."
There was a moment of silence from Gradient as Silver looked at him, Silver then said, "Gradient, you shouldn't worry about me, you're my best friend and I want you to be happy, if that means leaving me then ok, do it, plus Stonecrusher could come over more often with you gone." Gradient gave a soft smile to Silver as if thanking him before standing up in his usual way and saying, "Ok, well, I need to move in a few days so I'll let you choose what we have for dinner."
Silver smiled and said, "Honey frozen fruits with some chicken sounds good." Gradient smiled, Silver knew Gradient loved honey and Silver had been craving some honey too, so it would be a good meal for both of them. Silver smiled as he and Gradient started cutting up food and making dinner, Silver would miss moments like this but he'd make new ones once Gradient had moved to the palace.
