Gradient woke up early, today was a important day, it was Darkstalker and Whiteout's Hatchday. It had been a few months since Gradient had accidentally embarrassed himself in front of Queen Vigilance but he still had that memory fresh in his mind, weirdly enough Gradient hadn't received any commission from the palace since then, which made his anxiety spike further.
Gradient tried to forget that as he began preparing his gifts for Darkstalker and Whiteout's 4th hatchday. Gradient slowly cut and molded the gold he had around the gemstone, he finished quickly, he had made Darkstalker a necklace with two talons holding a gemstone, it was a large black gemstone that Gradient had been tempted to keep. For Whiteout, Gradient made horn rings out of platinum that were connected via silver and had dangling black and white gemstones.
Gradient was sure that they would love their gifts, especially with the fact that he had a second gift prepared, since they were nearly fully grown dragons now he prepared daggers. Gradient had already asked Arctic and Foeslayer if it was ok to gift them the daggers and they said it was, so Gradient had worked on the daggers for awhile.
Gradient carefully placed the the Daggers in two separate pouches he made for Darkstalker and Whiteout. Gradient then went to see if Silver was awake yet, "Hey Silver, are you awake yet?" Gradient asked as he walked into Silver's room, Silver was in his bed and said with a raspy voice, "Y-Yeah... I'm just really sick..."
Gradient could feel the sickness coming off of Silver and said, "Well... You'll be alone most of today, it's Darkstalker and Whiteout's Hatchday, do you want me to give them your gifts?" Silver nodded and said, "Yeah, it's over on the des-" Silver's talking was stopped by him suddenly coughing.
Gradient backed up slightly and grabbed Silver's gifts, it was a matching set of eating that looked like nightwings holding a small gemstone. Gradient then quickly left not wanting to get sick before Darkstalker and Whiteout's part, although he knew they'd be upset about Silver being sick.
