Author Notes: Grab That Tissue Box.

For the first time in his career as a mob boss's right hand, Drake just knew they had the wrong person this time. He had been doing this job formally for eight years now and he had seen all kinds of monsters get dragged into this very interrogation room and he himself had tortured them, till they spilled their guts.

This time, he just knew that the one they had taken, was innocent. It was in his eyes.

Drake and Force had decided to follow Nanon the entire day and then kidnap him the moment they got a chance. Essentially, they had been parked outside a small apartment complex the entire day, without much of action. That was his first hint. If Nanon was actually the child trafficker Korn had accused him of, what was he doing all day sitting around in his apartment?

Suspicious yes, but that was not enough to make Drake question the entire operation. Plus, when they saw the kid sneak out late at night, most of his hesitation left him.

Still, he could not shake the feeling that the kid was himself running away from something, instead of the other way round.

Anyway, his plan was clear. Force would distract the kid and Drake would inject him with the drug, so that there was least struggle possible and so that Nanon did not have a chance to pull out any weapons that he may be carrying. And all was going to plan, until he saw Nanon's timid response to Force. For a potential drug dealer and a child trafficker, it was not appropriate at all.

This is when the seeds of doubt really took root in Drake's mind, but it was too late to back out. So, he did what he had planned to do, grabbed the kid from behind, shut his mouth to prevent the unnecessary screaming, and quickly jabbed the needle in his neck. As expected, the kid went limp in his arms immediately, but his eyes were still open.

The moment Drake had the chance to look into his now unfocused and yet innocent eyes, he knew they had the wrong guy.

Force apparently had similar observations.

While they were waiting for Ohm to come to the HQ, he had voiced it by saying that Nanon himself looked like a kicked puppy, which was true. The reason that Drake disagreed with him in the moment, was because he knew that Nanon could hear them. If Nanon was actually guilty, the fact that his captors were doubting their decision may give him an unfair advantage.

Drake's argument to Force, did not even convince himself.

Nanon's demeanor after he had woken up had also not helped his suspicions. Any other potential criminal in captivity, would either be over-dramatic and claim that they were innocent, or they would launch empty threats and demand to be let go. Nanon had not done either. It was almost as if he did not even know why he had been taken, as if he just accepted his fate and prepared himself for what was to come.

And an absolute storm was waiting for him.

Ohm was a dangerous man, but he was rarely unnecessarily violent. However, the minute he had entered the Triad HQ, Drake knew today was going to be one of those rare occasions. He could see the storm roaring in Ohm's fierce eyes.

"Where is he?" was Ohm's steely whisper.

Drake almost had the instinct to calm Ohm down at that very point, but he knew that without proof and at least without first hearing what Nanon had to say, that was going to be impossible. So, he responded to his leader's direct question.

"Inside."

And that was the last word that Drake or Force could get out before Ohm barged in and started attacking Nanon. Drake wasn't even sure if Ohm stopped for a minute to look at Nanon, because if he did, he may have not done what he had done.
