That had been about a week ago. Since then, Ohm had not seen Nanon at all, except for a brief moment, and if he was being honest, it felt like something was amiss...constantly.

The silent treatment from P'Mix and Drake, the constant disappointed looks from P'Earth, Perth's unprecedented sass and a lack of Nanon generally, had made Ohm realize that whatever he said that day was not okay.

It was like he had gone and sucked out all the joy that had filled their lives since Nanon started living with them. There was no more coming back to sounds of laughter, no smell of something tasty cooking on Sundays, as P'Mix and Nanon took over the kitchen, there was no teasing, no old story to relive with Nanon...nothing.

Nanon had stopped coming out of his room altogether, especially when Ohm was in the house. He did not come out for meals or movie nights or even when he was specially invited by P'Mix. In fact, the only proof for Ohm that Nanon was still living with them were Tay and Heng posted outside his room, and Ohm had briefly seen him one time, when Nanon was leaving for his university in the morning. That's it.

Ohm knew he deserved it, but that did not make him feel any better about it. Very uncharacteristically he found himself going back to the thought of those innocent eyes and that beautiful, dimpled smile. It had been far too long since Ohm had seen them.

The good part about this was that his breakfast was now perfect and always on time, his files were in order, his clothes were in place and the everything else was also exactly how he liked it, but it had just come at a big cost.

Ohm was convinced that this big cost was nothing but his mental peace.

He never thought he would miss someone challenging his authority. Yes, in the moment he had been very pissed, beyond pissed in fact but now that it was not happening anymore, he couldn't help but think what a refreshing sight it had been. Apart from his family, he was constantly surrounded by people who blindly followed his orders and never dared to challenge him. In fact, his family did that too on most occasions.

Nanon had been such a breath of fresh air, that truth be told, Ohm did not know how to deal with him, and he had screwed up. He had screwed up royally.

For a brief moment, on day twenty-eight, Ohm unconsciously released a sigh of relief, as he saw Nanon walk into the lobby in his university clothes, with a bag hanging on his shoulder and an apple in his mouth. That's when Ohm learnt he had finally been approved by P'Mix to go back to school.

Had Nanon always been this beautiful and Ohm was noticing it just now?

FOCUS.

Not like Ohm was expecting a big confrontation or anything, but Ohm was expecting some show of aggression, albeit passive, and that would have at least lessened his guilt. But just as Nanon realized that Ohm was sitting on the couch, going through a file, he had immediately looked down, still not meeting Ohm's eyes and had mumbled a soft "Good morning sir" and quickly shuffled out the door.

Ohm would never admit it, but he was immensely disappointed. He could tolerate sass, he could tolerate anger, hell Nanon's challenges had been better than this. But now it was like Nanon was scared of Ohm, and that, he did not like. He did not like it one bit.

For a person who usually thrived on other people's fear of him why was this happening? He had no answer.

"Thinking about Nanon again?"

His thoughts were suddenly interrupted by P'Earth.

Currently, they were sitting in P'Earth's office, going over the interior concept for their new hotel and apparently, instead of looking into the file, Ohm had been in his own head about Nanon. P' Earth somehow knew everything, just going by the expression on Ohm's face and he still dared to deny it.
