WHEN VALENTINA WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING, Kol was gone. It wasn't unusual for him to disappear somewhere from time to time, so she didn't think anything special about it as she got ready for the day.
She knew that this wasn't going to be a peaceful day as soon she saw Rose, the vampire who had kidnapped her and Elena, standing in the middle of the room, her posture relaxed but her eyes sharp and calculating. She was talking to Stefan and Damon Salvatore, who both looked tense and on edge. Stefan's jaw was set in a hard line, while Damon had his arms crossed, a dangerous glint in his eyes.
"Please, if you are going to kidnap me again, can I at least eat breakfast first?" she called as she entered the parlor. The vampires turned their attention toward her as she nervously eyed them.
"What is she doing here?" she pointed between them and walked further into the room.
"I'm here to help," she replied, making Valentina snort.
"You literally tried using me as a vampire snack," she pointed out and sat down on the couch. "I mean I'm touched, I have never been called a snack before but you get the point."
"She's here to help us with Klaus," Stefan explained. "We are waiting for Elena."
When Elena arrived, they gathered around the living room. "Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap but Klaus, I know he's real."
"Who is he?" Elena asked.
"He's one of the originals, he's a legend," Damon piped in.
"From the first generation of vampires," Stefan continued.
"Like Elijah?"
"No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal."
"If I get undaggered, I'm never letting Elijah forget that he got beat by two baby vampires and got called the Easter Bunny." Valentina let out a small scream of surprise as Kol popped right next to her.
As everyone turned to look at her she blushed. "Sorry, I thought I saw a spider." None of them didn't seem to believe her so she continued. "Ignore me. Please continue." Kol gave her an apologetic look and mouthed "Sorry".
"Klaus is known to be the oldest," Stefan kept explaining, still keeping his eyes on Valentina who tried looking relaxed.
"Actually if we are being correct, Finn is the oldest one of us," Kol piped in but Valentina was the only one able to hear him.
