"IF SOMEONE IN THIS HOUSE ISN'T DECENT, I'm going to give you ten seconds to get your clothes on before I open my eyes," she called out, her voice echoing through the spacious foyer. She was covering her eyes with her hands as she descended the staircase. Just like the day before, Kol had disappeared somewhere but this time telling her that he was planning to find Elijah and some more about his plans.

"One."

"Two."

"Nobody is naked, Valentina," she heard Rose's voice call. She lowered her hand and walked into the kitchen where Rose was sitting by the table.

"Where is everyone?" she asked.

"Not sure. They were gone when I woke up," Rose replied.

"Typical," she muttered to herself. "You know, I'm feeling cookies. Do you want cookies?" Valentina asked, starting to gather ingredients on the table.

Valentina worked mostly in silence, occasionally humming, until Rose finally broke the silence. "You know, I didn't know that you were friends with the Salvatores-" Rose started.

"When you kidnapped me?" she finished for her. Rose cringed at her words. "I'm an old friend of Stefan's," she replied.

Rose's brows furrowed. "How old are you even?"

Valentina stopped mixing her cookie batter to think for a moment. "I have been twenty-one for a while."

"But you aren't a vampire," Rose pointed out. She discreetly smelled the air, her blood did smell different than most humans, more alluring but she still smelled like a human.

Valentina thought for a moment if she should tell her the truth. "I was a cupid until a couple of weeks ago," she replied. Maybe she was too trusting but she liked Rose and felt like she could tell her the truth.

"Oh my god," Rose breathed out. "I thought Slater was crazy."

"Slater knew?" she questioned. Valentina realized that she hadn't been the only cupid to reveal her identity to someone but cupids were more mythical than vampires, witches, and vampires. Their existence being better hidden.

"He had this research that went back to over hundreds of years about gods of love and cupids," Rose started to explain. "He was almost as obsessed with cupids as he was with vampires. I just always thought it was Slater being Slater."

"Yeah," Valentina nodded. "Well, we are real."

"You said you were a cupid until a couple of weeks ago," Rose pointed out and she slightly froze.
