'"Come on Lloyd!" he exclaimed "if we're not fast enough Cole is gonna eat all the food!!"

He sounded deadly serious.'

Sorry it's been so long. I have been busy catching up with the story over on ao3, but now there will be chapters posted regularly again.

"You know, I said that I don't care that he's the son of Garmadon but in all honesty- I was just being nice."

Lloyd stirred in his sleep. He felt himself wake up. It seemed like the others were already awake and chatting.

Chatting about- him.

He kept his eyes closed and tried his best to breathe normally. He couldn't move a muscle.

"Yeah like, sureee he's the green ninja" Jay said "but I mean now knowing that he's the green ninja really makes you think - what if he's only pretending to be a hero so that he earns the peoples trust? So that he can earn the love of dear old daddy?"

"It does seem like a very plausible explanation" Zane admitted.

Lloyds heart stopped.

He was so stupid.

"I just wish we wouldn't have to be friends with him just so we can learn to control our powers. Why does his uncle have to be the only person in this city that could teach us?" Cole sounded genuinely annoyed.

"Well maybe he isn't?" Zane retorted.

"What do you mean?" Cole shot back

"Well just because we only know that his uncle can train us doesn't mean that he's the only one that can. Maybe there are others that are also aware of our powers and would be willing to teach us" Zane explained

Why would he ever think...

"Oooh, that's a great idea!" Jay added. "I dearly hope there's someone. I don't want to deal with him thinking that we actually want to be his friends.."

He wouldn't allow himself to cry. He couldn't cry. He couldn't-

"Imagine he would want us to hang out with him in public - worst of all, in school"

"Oh oh no, my reputation is not great as is, I cannot be seen with him" Jay thought out loud.

He needed to get out of here.

Cole laughed "our social statuses would go from 0 to -100 real quick"

He couldn't keep on listening to this.

"I didn't even think that was scientifically possible!" Zane added.

He-

"Wake up students!" he was violently pulled out of his slumber by loud metal objects clashing against each other.

"WOOAH" Lloyd fell out of his bed onto a person.

"OUCH!" a squeaky voice spat out - Jay.

When Lloyd moved off of him and slowly came back to his senses he finally began to understand his situation.

At the door to his room stood his uncle, with two pans in hand. He had woken him up.

On a lot of mats and an unhealthy amount of blankets and pillows laid Cole and Jay - well Jay was now standing up right having moved from his place. Zane was nowhere to be seen.

That wasn't real. A dream.

Lloyd looked to his clock. It was 8 am, very late for him to wake up.
