Notes:"I don't appreaciate pity parties" Lloyd looked to her. What was up with that woman?

He put the sketchbook in his bag. He liked to draw designs of various inventions he created and since he didn't know if Lloyd would fare well enough to stay awake the whole day, he decided to bring it as a time killer.
"Jay sweetie, what am I supposed to tell your school?" his mother asked as she was covering up the speaker of the cellphone.
"Just tell them that I'm sick mom."
"Alright alright, I must say I'm really happy you're willing to help a friend in need, sweetie, but just so you know, I don't want this to be a reacurring thing, alright?"
"Of course not mom!"
"You're such a sweet boy, I'm glad your friend has someone he can rely on" she pressed a kiss on her sons check.
"MOOMM" he pulled away. "Well I'm off now, see you later mom"
"See you sweetie!"
He left his house, closing the door behind him. He was lucky he was located on the outskirts of Ninjago, close to the harbour. Zane didn't have the same luck, his appartment was placed at the other end of Ninjago.
He, Cole, and Zane had been talking in their groupchat, contemplating on what to do. In the end, they decided they wanted to stay by Lloyds side for the day, checking that he was alright. Jay was lucky his parents were chill about these kinda things. Cole had to tell his father he was going to school while Zane made sure he wouldn't be signed off within the school system. Jay still had no idea how the presidentt of the students council was able to do that, but he wouldn't pry.
So he went, kicking various pebbles on the way. He liked his part of town, it was a bit run down but it was home. He inhaled the fresh air, this place wasn't busy, meaning it wasn't as polluted by cars as the heart of the city.
One foot after the other, he was thinking about what to say to Lloyd. Should he ignore everything? No that's what brought them here in the first place. He should ask how Lloyd is doing. Maybe he should apologize- no this wasn't about him. He should reassure Lloyd. Yeah that would work.
He entered the busier parts of Ninjago City. He had to go through these parts to reach the habour. It was Tuesday morning, he saw many people heading to school. Jay felt a bit out of place, for more than one reason. He pushed it aside heading towards the habour. As he reached it he could hear the wood creek. He watched the waves, but his mind was further away from the coast. Even though it was closest to Garmadons Volcano this habour never seemed to fall victim of his attacks. Jay wondered if it was due to the Bounty being here. And Lloyd. He kinda hoped so even. He turned his gaze away from the Volcano and turned, the Bounty already in sight. Here he goes.
"JAY!"

"And remember you are to come back right after school. You're still grounded, don't forget it this time."
"Yes dad." Cole rolled it eyes once Lou turned his back to him.
He had been grounded ever since his father had returned and seen the damage of the sink. He didn't want to mention it to his friends, he didn't see a need to. So when they asked to meet up after school on that Monday, he complied. That was his first strike. After that strike he had decided to sneak around a whole lot more. So every time the guys wanted to hang out, which really was just every day, he went home so his father knew he had returned and then proceded to sneak out of the window. It was a great plan and it had really been going well. That was until Lloyd got hurt. Or that was until yesterday. Cole did go home and snuck out like nomally only to return to Jay and Zane in front of the school. But then Lloyd had gotten hurt. He was so caught up with it that when he returned home he just went in through the front door, thus being caught by Lou. That was his second strike. He knew that if it were to come to a third one, his grounding would be extended. And he really didn't want that to happen, especially because he only had four days left.
