whispers of attachment

in whispers soft, excitement blooms,
over tiny sparks, my heart consumes.
attached too tight to fleeting glows,
in their absence, emptiness grows.

anxious beats in rhythms wild,
waiting for responses, like a child.
annoying friends with tales untold,
over guys, i shouldn't hold.

in shadows cast by fantasies spun,
i chase illusions, one by one.
but in the end, im left alone,
yearning for echoes of what's unknown.
