midnight reverie

**implication of death**

in the dark of night, i walk these streets,
with thoughts so heavy, my heart it beats.
wishing for headlights, a cars cruel blow,
to end this pain, this endless woe.

fantasies play of a life cut short,
would anyone notice, in this silent court?
would tears be shed, for a soul so lost,
or would i vanish, like morning frost?

i long for impact, for a final release,
to fade away, find eternal peace.
but in the end, i keep on walking,
invisible, alone, silently talking.
