in a world of shifting shadows, where trust is traded thin,
people treat each other like pawns, the games they play begin.
i've felt the sting of betrayal, like a dagger to the heart,
used and then discarded, like a thing that falls apart.

treated like an object, a means to an end,
a witness to their secrets, a truth they could bend.
they pulled my soul for answers, with questions sharp as knives,
left me hollow, empty, stealing fragments of my life.

in their eyes, i was nothing, just a tool to be cast aside,
a pawn in their cruel game, where empathy had died.
betrayal's bitter taste lingers, in the echoes of their lies,
a shadow in my memory, where trust forever dies.

but from the shards of broken trust, i build my walls anew,
a fortress of resilience, where only truth breaks through.
though the scars of betrayal linger, they remind me of my worth,
no longer discardable, i reclaim my place on earth.

in the silence of my healing, i find strength in every tear,
betrayal's harsh lessons carve paths to a future clear.
no longer a pawn in their cruel game, i rise from the abyss,
with every step away from them, i move closer to my bliss.
