my night reverie

under the moon's quiet gaze, my world awakens,
a nocturnal rhythm, a dance with shadows.
in my bed, a fortress of solitude, i dwell,
wrapped in sheets of stillness, escaping the day.

the sun's harsh glare too piercing,
i hide from its truth, find solace in the night.
my room, a constellation of chaos,
where order is a stranger and clutter my companion.

whispers of laughter, distant echoes,
real life interactions, a language i've forgotten.
hunger fades like a ghost, meals an afterthought,
my body a vessel of neglect, floating through time.

the night is my comfort, the darkness a friend,
where thoughts spiral, hysteria's gentle caress.
sleep comes with the dawn, as light paints the sky,
and i retreat to dreams, where reality can't pry.

messy and lost, a bedrotter's lament,
living in the in-between, where shadows consent.
my heart ached with a silent plea, unspoken despair,
in the nocturnal embrace, i find myself there.
