The Next Avatar: Training [Book1]

{{{Renzo's POV}}}

A fat man came to me as I stayed in my little corner waiting for someone to help me. I was starving.

"What are you doing here little boy?" The fat man asks.

"I have no home." I say sadly.

"Well...I'll make a deal. I'll give you a home and food and all you have to do is do whatever I say."

"Well...umm...ok." I said unsurely.

We walk to his house and I see that it's a mansion more like. I don't know what happened but now I'm older.

Running and running as fast as I can as the fat man is sitting on his big golden chair watching me.

I stop for now I'm done.

"Entertain me."

"With what sir?"

"Hmm... Don't you have anything?" He says suspiciously.

"Yes, sir I do." I say then I whistle.

A little tiny bird comes through the window.

"I found him with a broken wing when I was young and I saved him. I was teaching him how to come back to me and he was really getting to like me..." Then the fat man interrupted me.

"Pull off his wings." He says happily.

I look at the tiny bird and I think that is shaking it's head. I think really fast thinking of what he might do. 'If I don't he might kill me or torture me, or he might not.

The next thing I know he pushes me down and kicks me 2 times in the head.

"That was very amusing." He says with a smile.

"Thank you." I say then look up at him and smile when I say it. I cried and I had bloody and feathery hands.

I wake up. Hot like I have a fever. That dream was horrible. I thought of my past life and it was kinda similar to my real life I had back then.

It was in the middle of the night. I stand up and put on a shirt and go out of my room, but before I do I make sure my roommate, Leo, is asleep.

I walk a little to the door to go outside. It's very breezy and it helped cool me off. I walk a little bit more then I see Luta. She is sitting down on the grass. I walk over to her to see what up.

"What are you doing out her in the middle of the night?" I ask.

"Thinking. What about you?"

"Oh. I just woke up. Nightmare I guess."

"What was it about?"

"Just about me and a bird and a fat man."

"Oh." She says then looks up at the sky.

"So why are you out her?"

"Well, when I was at my mom's house we had a forest and some ponds in it and I would usually go outside at 1:00 and practice water bending."

"Wait you already know how?"

"Yeah."

"Cool. So who taught you?"

"No one. Just myself. It happened when I feel in water. I could breath under it and I could. But the next thing I know my hands are moving with the water. Making me swim and the waves I made were amazing. So I wanted to see more that I could do. So that's how."

"That's nice."

"Well...how did you learn?"

"By the academy. I didn't know when I was younger."

"Oh."

Th breeze started to come faster and I could see that Luta was shivering.

"I think it's time to go back to sleep." I say.

"Yeah." She says.

I walk her back to her room and say goodnight to her as I walk back to mine and go to sleep I was hoping I would have no more bad dreams.
