{{{Leo's POV}}}

-----

I wake up to my blaring alarm. *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP*

I hit the off button and drag myself out of bed. Renzo, my roommate, was still asleep, snoring.

I take a quick shower, brush my teeth and get dressed.

Renzo is asleep, still, and snoring louder. "Wake up, Renny. Wake up!" I say to him with his nickname, and shake his shoulders. He yelps a little then opens his eyes. His eyes are wide and I know he had another nightmare. He gets them a lot, especially recently. He had a difficult past. I guess I did too.

He gets up with bedhead and goes straight to the bathroom. I shrug and grab my backpack, going to the community room kitchen..I make a bowl of cereal and eat quickly, not really wanting to start a conversation with anyone.

When I finish, I clean my dish and go outside. The air is crisp, with hints of cold still settling from the night. I walk down the sidewalk taking in the peace of the morning. I always go to school early to get in extra earth bending practice. I use my extra school key to get in, heading towards the earth room.

I go right to the middle, and take my stance. I flung my backpack to the wall, and take my stance. Bringing my hands slowly up to my head, I hear rumbling start from the ground. Two large rocks come out of the ground, and I clench my fists, turning them into multiple, smaller chunks. I throw them all at the dummy, and it rips apart. I wish I had more of a challenge then a dummy.

I grunt and attack the next dummy, this time pushing it upward with a fisted punch to the ground, then I crush it in between two slabs of rock. It falls to the ground. I push the rocks I used back onto the ground, and sigh. I can usually get out my feelings into these dummies, but its not working today.

I just didn't understand how my father could make me leave this school. He wanted me to go to some stupid law school and give up bending. I couldn't do it, bending was to much of my life. He warned me I had to leave a week ago before we went to get the newbies. Sue, Luta, and Cinder. I laugh thinking of how we had to kidnap Cinder. It was easy enough, but she was good at fighting.
I did not wanna have to leave because my father was stubborn.

*ring ring* lost in my thoughts, time had passed pretty quickly, and it was already time for first period. I got my bag and ran out of the Earth room, going to first period.

After math, grammar, and history it was finally lunch time. Which afterward ment fighting class.

I sat with my friend Jason at lunch, arguing about which element was better. He was a air bender - one more year and he would get his tattoos.

"You don't have to be vegetarian!" I tell Jason, "Airbenders eat the weirdest things!" I tell him. He rolls his eyes.

"At least I'm not killing live, harmless animals for food!"

"You might as well be, eating their food! Ha! Earthbending wins!" I say fisting the air.

"You got me there. But air bending still is best." He says defiantly. He hits me in the shoulder and I roll my eyes this time.

When lunch is over I go to fighting class with Jason, and his girlfriend Lucy. I look around the class to see who else is there, and no one else I know is here except Cinder.

She stood in the back not paying attention. I smiled. Of course, she didn't even want to be here, but it confused me why.

"Cinder!" I call to her. She emidiatly lifts her head and scans the crowd till she sees me. She rolls her eyes a little then walks over to me. "I thought you could use a friend. You were pretty alone back there." I say.

"Ya well, maybe I wanna be alone. I don't even wanna be here." She says stubornly, but gets interrupted when she was gonna speak again by the teacher.

I smiled as fighting class finally began.

More will come later. Please follow. ^_^ interesting?
