Using her powers and reading Kurt's mind, Jean was able to learn that Stryker was operating out of Alkali Lake, a place Logan thought was empty but he hadn't bothered to check underground.

With Jean unable to get the Blackbird working immedialty they decided to camp out for the night, most of them needing the rest anyway.

Logan walked into a clearing not that far from where everyone else had set up tents and found Eden sitting alone on a lawn chair made of plants and twigs.

"There another seat for me?" he asked.

She smiled, using her powers to make another one right next to hers.

"You know these are surprisingly comfortable," he said as she sat down.

"Thanks," she said, looking over at him. "So, how are you feeling?"

"I'm alright," he said.

"You sure? Even after finding out from Magneto of all people that it was Stryker who did that to you?" she asked.

Logan just shrugged. "Can't do anything about it now" he said. "You know, they got tents."

"I know. But I prefer lying right outside. Under the stars. Besides, there's the whole no sleep thing remember?"

"Right," he nodded. "No sleep."

"But you should get some rest. I know it's been a very long 48 hours" she said.

"No, I'm alright," he said.

"Logan-"

"It doesn't feel right sleeping if you don't," he said.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I don't know. Feels like I'm just leaving you here or something" he said.

Eden had to turn away from him, biting her cheek as she tried to control the smile that was itching to come out. Her cheeks burned red and she looked up at the moon as she tried to calm herself down.

It took a few moments before she could speak up again, letting the cool air calm her down.

"Can I tell you a secret?" she asked and he hummed for her to continue. "For as long as I can remember, I've had a dream similar to this."

"What, being hunted and killed while having to hang out with Magneto?" he asked.

"No" she laughed. "I mean this, right now. The calm. It's tranquil In my dream, I pick some random place in the middle of nowhere and I terraform the whole thing. It's beautiful. Quiet. The only sounds come from water rushing down the street, birds chirping over me, animals brushing against the leaves."

Logan looked over at her, letting out a quiet hum. "Sounds peaceful. Are you alone?"

"You know what's funny? I've had this dream for so long and I'm always with someone. But whenever I wake up I can't remember who. But I know that while I was asleep when I was there, I knew them. Talked to them. But whenever I try to remember it's always...fuzzy. But then a few weeks ago, I had the dream again. But this time when I woke up I remembered who it was."
