It has been a few days since the Hypnobrai attack in Jamanakai Village, and as usual, Master Wu is meditating. But something is different today. Like before, he heard his students nearby, and he went to check on them, except they weren't in the games room. To his pleasant surprise, they were all busy in the courtyard, training.

"Monkey paw to the head!" Kai shouted.

"Ninja roll!" Cole followed.

"Hey!" Felix complained. "Wait your turn, Cole!"

"Oh, sorry, Lex."

"Dragon punch!" Jay yelled. He was deflecting arrows with his nunchucks, Cole was using his scythe on the dummies, Felix was practicing blocks and dodges, Kai was doing Spinjitzu, and Zane was meditating.

Suddenly, the White Ninja got up and started disturbing the others. He jumped in Jay's path, stole Cole's scythe from his hands, which he then swung at a dummy, but caught Felix's leg and brought her down. "Ninja Go!" He did Spinjitzu and froze the whole courtyard, causing Kai to slip and fall hard.

The Red Ninja stood up and joined the other three. "This roof isn't big enough for the five of us." He noted.

"Correction," Cole cut in. "This roof isn't big enough for him."

"It's like he's in his own world." Jay followed. "I bet he can't even hear us!" He yelled in Zane's direction, but the White Ninja remained heedless. As awesome as Zane was, they all agreed that there were times when he acted very odd.

"Sensei. Zane is... weird." Kai spoke.

"What is weird?" Wu asked. "Someone who is different or someone who is different than you?"

"No, Sensei," Cole followed. "He's "weird" weird." The ninjas started recalling recent moments where Zane did something out of the ordinary. Cole was doing private stuff in the bathroom when Zane just walked in and started combing his hair. As if he didn't know that you have to knock before entering the lavatories if they are occupied.

Jay remembered watching a sad romantic movie with Nya and Zane, and when they got to the most tragic scene, Jay and Nya cried while Zane burst out laughing, as if two lovers who were parting ways forever was the funniest thing he ever saw.

Kai recalled getting up in the night and going to the fridge for a midnight snack, only to find Zane inside the fridge having eaten everything. "Holy baloney!" "I'm sorry. I consumed the last of the deli meat. Cheese?"

Finally, Felix remembered going into her workshop and hearing a strange noise, and she found Zane sleeping under her workbench using blueprints as a blanket. "Sure, Zane's behaviour can be kinda... odd. But it's just who he is. Who am I to judge where he wants to sleep?"

"We love the guy; he's really smart." Kai spoke. "He's just... a little off sometimes."

"Zane is a brother," Wu explained. "And siblings are often different. I should know."

Meanwhile, just below the monastery, the mailman was dragging his feet up the incredibly long staircase. It seemed to get longer the more he climbed. He was exhausted. Why couldn't the Monastery of Spinjitzu be on a smaller mountain? Although panting, he made it to the front gate, and it opened for him. "Mail!" Kai, Jay, and Cole shouted excitedly, rushing to get their mail, and Felix went to get the mailman a glass of water.

"Let's see." The mailman reached into his bag and passed each one their mail. "A letter from Jay's parents. Kai has a fan letter. Oh, something from Cole's father."
