A couple days after acquiring the Scythe of Quakes, the ninjas and Master Wu were now sailing by boat through the Frozen Wastelands to retrieve the second Golden Weapon. Cole was manning the helm as everyone else moved about the vessel. Jay was becoming bored and started bugging Cole with a pointless game of eye spy.

"I spy something... white."

"Could you try to be quiet for once?" Cole sighed. "This ain't easy." Just then, the boat scraped against an iceberg, making it rock a bit. Cole quickly put his hands back on the helm to steady it.

"I spy something broken!" Jay groans. Felix chuckled upon hearing that. She was leaning against the railing, reading a book. Heaven knows where she got it from. Jay eventually got bored of annoying Cole and turned to his purple-clad friend. "What're you reading?" She showed him the cover, which read 'Quantum Mechanics and Its Theories by Cyrus Borg'. "You like Cyrus Borg's work?" Jay gasped. "Yes! Someone I can talk about this with!"

With that, the two brainy ones got to discussing quantum mechanics and string theory. From Cole's perspective, their words were going in one ear and right out the other. He continued steering the ship as his two best friends rambled on about science. "I'm surrounded by nerdlets." He thought.

Meanwhile, Kai and Zane were standing on the main deck, watching the ice slowly go by as they sailed on. Kai was shivering, both from the cold and his nerves. Needless to say, he was the only one on the ship who was nervous.

"If Sensei knows the way to the next Golden Weapon," he shivered. "Why isn't he steering the ship? We've been drifting aimlessly for miles!"

"Sensei's wisdom is beyond my own." Zane answered.

Master Wu had been balancing on the ship's figurehead, standing in an arabesque-like pose. (I don't know much about yoga poses.) "The most powerful move in Spinjitzu can only be accomplished when all five elements are combined." Wu explained. He jumped to the deck and started striking a pose for each element. "Earth! Ice! Fire! Wind! Lightning!"

"Uh... what happens when all of them are combined?" Jay asked.

"The Tornado of Creation. The power to create something out of nothing." Kai started spinning and jumping, attempting to copy Wu's moves, but nothing happened. "No, Kai! If done incorrectly, it will lead to disastrous consequences."

"Disastrous consequences. Right." Kai scoffs. Suddenly, the boat crashes on the icy shore of the Frozen Wasteland, knocking the five ninjas over. Four of them landed in a painful heap on the deck. Fortunately, they would not need to go far to ice their wounds.

"Uh... wasn't me." Cole said, letting go of the helm.

"Did I do that?" Kai asked.

"No." Wu answers. "We are here."

The Ice Temple was hidden within a huge icy peak, with clouds spiralling over it as they snowed. The five ninjas hiked up the slopes to find the Shurikens of Ice, and when they arrived at the temple entrance, they saw several Skulkin soldiers frozen solid in blocks of ice, looking as though they were running from something.

"Whoa. Looks like someone's already been here." Cole observed.

A little further in, Zane spotted the shurikens floating high above them. "The shurikens." The others boost him up, and he grabs the weapons but is frozen solid on contact. On top of that, the Ice Dragon guarding the shurikens was awoken. The other four ninjas were forced to carry Zane out as they ran away, and they wound up using his frozen form as a sled to get down the peak. They ended up crashing into an ice pillar. "Ow," Zane groans.
