We first see Pythor and Skales out in the middle of nowhere, busily digging in the Sea of Sand. Knowing how mad Pythor is, whatever they're looking for can't be anything good. What do you expect from a giant Serpentine who practices cannibalism (shamelessly devouring his whole tribe) just to save his own skin?

Skales hissed in frustration as he dropped his shovel. "We're wasting our time, Pythor. There's nothing here but sand and dust."

"Keep digging. The Lost City of Ouroboros is under us. I know it."

"Oh, face it, your first attempt to unite the tribes failed, and now that you have lost your flock, you've become dessssperate."

"I am dessssperate, my disloyal number two!" Pythor hissed. "But only to bring our kind together so that we can unleash the Great Devourer."

"You put too much faith in legends." Skales scoffed. "Besides, all the Serpentine know is to be at war with one another."

Pythor just ignored his right hand and kept digging, until he finally spotted a large dial-like mechanism under the sand and laughed. "Skales, I believe we've found it." He turned the large dial, and suddenly, the whole area shook as the no-longer-lost city emerged from the sand. An ancient place made entirely of stone. "I present to you the city formerly known as the Lost City of Ouroboros."

The Destiny's Bounty was flying peacefully around the clouds when the postman, on a bicycle fitted with makeshift wings, tried to chase after it, panting heavily. "Wait! Slow down! I have a package for Sensei Wu!"

Inside, the ninjas and Nya were sitting in the dining room, listening to the twins as they eagerly explained in their own childish way how they would fight against a Serpentine. Being only 10, they didn't really understand the concept of real combat.

"First, I'd stomp on his tail. Then, when he turns, thunderclap him in the ears!" Lloyd said.

"Even better; POW! Right between the eyes!" Akane followed a bit more wickedly. "Then rip his fangs out!"

"Too late." Cole shook his head. "He's already hypnotized you, and now you're under his control."

"Or he's already put you in a squeeze." Zane added.

"Or spit on you with his hallucinatory venom." Kai shuddered. "Trust me, bad stuff."

"Or he bit you, and you slowly start turning into a snake." Felix mumbled. She was half awake, with her head lying on the table. She hardly slept in the past couple days since she was working on her drone. She had to remake it after Lloyd made it explode. On top of that, she had been doing research on the Serpentine, trying to find any weaknesses since they didn't have the Sacred Flute. The poor Purple Ninja was only partially functional from the lack of precious sleep.

Master Wu walked in with the package the postman delivered as Lloyd and Akane groaned in displeasure. "Uncle, what's the best way to stun a Serpentine?" Lloyd asked.

"Sadly, it was the Sacred Flute you five carelessly lost." Wu sighed.

"Hey, I wasn't even there when it happened. It was them." Felix countered.

"No, no, no, we didn't lose it." Jay argued. "Pythor stole it."

"Whatever the case, without it, I fear we have nothing to combat their powers. We may have prevented them from uniting in the past, but they will try again. And one day they will be stronger."

Cole stands up and straightens himself with confidence. "Don't worry. I've almost reached my full potential. And when I become the Green Ninja, we're not gonna need any magic flute."
