When the scene opens, we see the falcon that led Zane to Wildwood Forest perching on some power lines. Suddenly, the bird spoke, "Wake up, Zane. I know where you come from," and Zane sat right up in bed, hitting his head on the upper bunk.
He was dreaming. He looked around the room and realized he was the only one there. He got up and, still in his pyjamas, went to the bridge, where he found Master Wu and Nya. "The hunt starts early today."
"A watchful eye never sleeps." Wu nodded.
"As long as the Garmadon twins and the Serpentine roam freely, no one in Ninjago is safe." Nya added.
"Where are the others?" Zane asked, not seeing anyone else around.
"Training on the upper deck." Wu points out the window.
Zane goes outside to the deck, but he doesn't see his siblings anywhere. Confused, he looked up and saw the falcon perched on the mast. "You were in my dream, little friend. Last time I saw you, you led me to good fortune. What reason have you returned?"
The falcon looked at him curiously before flying away, and Zane watched it leave until it was completely out of sight, unaware that a shadow was sneaking up behind him. Soon, his sixth sense realized he was not alone, and he turned around to see Lord Garmadon looking at him with a scheming smirk.
"Lord Garmadon!" Zane said in shock. "But you were banished!"
"Only to return for the Weapons of Spinjitzu." Garmadon chuckled. He pulled out two katanas and prepared to fight. "Soon I will have the power to recreate Ninjago in my own image." He charged at Zane, but the White Ninja pulled out his shurikens and jumped over the dark lord before he could strike him. "Give me your Shurikens of Ice!"
"You'll have to take them from me!" Zane refused. "Ninja Go!" He did Spinjitzu and spun towards Garmadon, but he easily grabbed Zane and threw him into a pile of crates, making the White Ninja lose his shurikens in the process.
"So be it." Garmadon smirked. He severed a rope next to him, sending a heavy box falling towards Zane. He dove for cover, but just as he was about to meet his end, the Green Ninja appeared and managed to catch the box, throwing it aside.
"The Green Ninja." Zane gasped. "The legend is true." Suddenly, something else caught his eye. Another ninja flipped over and landed next to the Green Ninja, and Zane immediately knew that it was the mysterious seventh ninja from the prophecy. However, he still couldn't tell who it was.
There were no recognizable features, and their gi was just as faded as it looked in the ruined picture. The only distinguishable thing about them was that the ninja had purple eyes.
Garmadon leapt down just as the two ninjas, in perfect sync, punched him away and flipped back to avoid a counterattack. Zane was in awe as he watched. The Green Ninja and the mysterious one seemed to fight together as one, like one person split in two. The seventh ninja didn't use any powers, so there were no clues as to who it was in that regard either. But the Green Ninja was spectacular.
He watched in shock as the Green Ninja hit Garmadon with a blast of wind, creating a tornado around Zane to protect him from flying objects. Garmadon attempted to fight back, but the seventh ninja moved back and kicked him, knocking him down as the Green Ninja vaulted over and pulled out the Nunchucks of Lightning. Garmadon went to attack with his katana, only to be struck by the nunchucks. The dark lord slid along the deck before the seventh ninja gave one more blow, knocking him off the ship.
Zane watched as the two ninjas took hands as the Green Ninja's vacant hand lit aflame and the falcon perched on their shoulder. They both stared at Zane. "Who are you two?" He asked. He looked at the Green Ninja. "Kai, is that you?"
