Ali's POV
I couldn't help but cry in my room.The pain of loosing her was unbearable,I now understood what I placed her through.
I had cheated her and lied to her face,all she did was love me and I abused my rights on her.
It wouldn't have hurt any less if I did it the right way,but I was so cruel to her.I shouldn't even have hurt her at all.She became so lean and miserable.
She was disgraced my our families because she slapped me.She had every right to be angry, and the pain I feel now can't even measure up to the pain I caused her.
Now I have lost her forever because of my selfishness.
Nasir:hmm.(I looked up to find him standing in front of me) selfish ,yes,but things happened,but it was up to you to make things right.You fell for another woman,it would have most likely hurt Layla,but you should have told her the truth.
By lying to her , you only made things worse.You even went the extra mile with your parents and lied that your second wife was your sister and your daughter was your niece.
That makes the betrayal so much worse.It is men like you that tarnish the peace of Islam,but luckily for you,she forgave you,but unlucky you have also lost her, because you are now divorced.You can't always have your cake and eat it too.
But you gave her the divorce,even though it hurt you,you did it.Because you were no longer thinking about yourself.You were thinking about how she was feeling and what she was going through.
It was late,but it was still something, because now she is free and Happy and you can be too.
(Layla came in)
Layla: exactly.
Ali:can I ask,if you hadn't fallen for another man, would you have stayed in the marraige?
Layla:no,I tried to stay in the beginning for only Allah sake.But I realised that staying only harmed me and Allah would never want me to toture or harm myself, That's why am leaving, for my peace of mind and Allah,not because of love.
Layla:I lost all my love for you Ali,but I decided to have faith in Allah,so I stayed.But I realised that it wasn't working.If it is Allah's wish for me to stay with you,it would most definitely come through.But it's not his wish , that's why am free,free to love.You still have a wife and she loves you alot.Please try your best to make things work with her and hopefully don't hurt her like you did me.can you promise me that?
