"I think I love you," She whispered. "And I think I always have."

Steven didn't say anything, so Danielle turned to look at him. She got scared that she might've ruined everything between them. Almost 99% of the time a best friend confesses their feeling to their best friend, it never really ends well.

He reached for her cheek before toughing it iwth his fingertips, noticing her eyes began to fill with tears. He admired her face. Finally, he broke the tension as he leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips.

It was the sweetest kiss she ever had. The first in a long time that gave her butterflies. They were that 1% that ends up with the same feelings as one another.

'I love you, princess." He kissed the corner of her lips, then her eye to wipe away a stray tear. "I honestly don't understand why someone like him would hurt you twice in one lifetime to the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. I don't even get why he took you out. I specifically told him to stay away from you." He then proceeded to kiss every inch of her cheek as she bursted into laughter.

"Wait, YOU told him to stay away? I though my brothers did that." She said with her hand on his chest to stop him from kissing her.

"Did you not realize? I've wanted you to be mine ever since we were eight, August." He leaned over again to kiss her on the lips. "I didn't want you to be with someone when you're ment to be mine." He whispered on her lips.

"I was the one who wanted to kiss you first, not anyone else. I'm sure Conrad already told you that though."

"But, why did you start dating Shayla? I was waiting for you the entire time."

"I guess I just needed some way to forget about you. I thought that you needed someone that was better than me."

"Is this about Jacob?" Steven blushed a little. "Jacob was because Autumn made me date him. She was jealous of me and you and she kind of liked you before and didn't want us together. So, she set me and Jacob together. I never liked him back, it was all just to forget about you, also." She said ans placed her hands around his cheeks. "It's you and it's always been you whi I dreamt of kissing, and hugging, and being with me when we're like 90 years old."

The two smiled at each other.

Steven was really happy. He didn't think that Danielle had the same feeling he had for her. He never thought that he was as important in her life as she was to his. Oh, he wa so wrong.
