"Hey, have you seen Jay anywhere?" Danielle, hair tied up into a high ponytail with her fund raising top on, was seemingly worried about Jay currently being a no-show.

All debutants were to take party some type of fundraising activity in order to participate in the ball. It was a mandatory task, and she decided to choose the volleyball tournament. Jay was supposed to be he partner and they were ment to play together in the tournament before going on a date he promised her.

Unfortunatly, he probablly forgot about the tournament, and not Danielle was left without a partner.

"Don't worry, dear. Im sure he'll be here soon."

"I knew this wasn't a good idea." She muttered, sitting down on a random bench. She looked to her brother, Jeremiah, with the 'not the right time' look when he offered her some of his slushie drink.

"The tournament is about to begin. Every debutant must be in their assigned court before the referee's whistle." Susannah's voice echoed through the area. She was over by the prize table since she's the person who sets up the fundraiser annually.

After a tiny speech, it was officially time to play. "Let the game's begin!"

"Fuck, Jay." Danielle muttered under her breath. She really didn't feel like playing with her brothers. She also knew that Taylor was trying to set Belly up to play with Jeremiah, so she didn't want to interfear with them.

She gave in and grabbed Jere's drink before taking a sip of it. "Eugh, it's way too sugary." She gave it back.

Conrad then walked over to see if Danielle was ready. Only for him to see that Jay really was a no-show.

Conrad then spotted Steven running towards the direciton they were in. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"I'll sub for Jay. No big deal."

The two were playing against Belly and Conrad, as he needed to sub in for Jeremiah since he was visiblly terribale at the game. He was off to the side watching the match, cheering for his sister.

Conrad spoked the next ball and Danielle threw herself into the sand, setting the ball and throwing it to the other side of the court. The ball perfectly landed between Belly and Conrad.

"And Danielle Fisher scores the match point!"

Danielle was surprised when Steven hugged her, lifting her from the ground. She decided to enjoy the moment while it lasted. Enjoyed the freedom, th happiness of it.

"The winner of the fundraising tournament is, the Teen Titans!" Susannah annoucned into the mic as she grabbed the trophy.

"Seriously, Fisher? The Teen Titans is out team name?"

"Shut up, Steve." She giggled. Jeremiah dramatically got down on one knee and handed the two their trophy as Danielle grabbed it with a big smile plastered on her face.

They then walked off thr court after comgradulating Belly and Conrad for trying their best.

"Can't wait to put this on the shelf." Danielle spoke as they were walking over to the benches.

"Nuh uh, this is mine, Fisher. I literally saved your ass." Steven laughed at Danielle rolled her eyes.

"You scored twice, I could have been fine without you." She joked.

"Hey, uh, congradulations. You were amazing on the court." Danielle turned around and made eye contact with Jay. He had a look of sorrow, but honestly, Danielle couldn't care less. She honestly prefered playing with Steven. Between them, there was a spark, definitely helping them play on the court.

"Jay, where have you been? You stood me up."

"I know, and I'm truley sorry. I got caught up at work and lost track of time."

"You could have called," Steven mumbled under his breath, clearley pissed at the boy.

"Steve, I got it covered. Thank you, again." Her tone suggested for him and the other to leave. And so they did.

Jay approached the girl, sly smirk on his face as he placed his hands on both her sides. "I was hoping that taking the most beautiful lady here for dinner on a boat would really make her forgive a gentleman."

"Oh, of course it would, Jay." She put on a fake smile before he tilted his head and leaned in to kiss her.

"I'll pick you up in an hour, gourgeous."

Meannwhile, on the otherside of the area, Belly and Jeremiah were waiting to get their slushies. Over on the other side of where the two were, Steven and Conrad were watching Danielle and Jay.

"Hey, Connie, don't you think something looks... off between Dani and Jay?" Steven asked, still looking at the couple on the other side of where they were.

"I guess a little, but no, not really. Should I?" Steven shrugged at his best friend. That's when he finally realized: she didn't know about the kiss at the party. She never really actually remembered.
