The deb ball has finally arrived. The ball itself was in less than two hours from now and the anticipation was eating Danielle alive.
She was making her make-up for the ball in the debutant's changing room, trying to ignore the chaos going all around her.
All the girls were going crazy, but Danielle tried to keep her cool. Or at least try to keep cool. Some how, Susannah found a way to make the girl and her friendgroup from school sing after the presentation of debutants and escorts right before the actual ball started. She was excited to do this with her friends, but dying thinking about everyone just going to be staring at her.
The door opened and Conrad, Hannie, one of Danielle's friends from school. Conrad kept a hand over his eyes just in case any of the girls were still changing.
"Get out!" One of the girls shouted.
"We just want to see my sister! Chill, I can't see anything." He responded as Danielle quickly got up from her vanity chair and walked over to them, reciving annoying glances from the girls around her.
"God, you guys don't know how happy I am to see you guys." She hugged her brother and her friend after closing the door, now standing in the hallway. "I barely know any of the girls in there." She sighed, slightly regretting not getting to know the deb's more.
Escorts and debutants weren't able to see each other before the presentation, so she also hasn't seen Steven once almost all day.
"I just lead your brother to the deb changing room. Minji, Haerin, Hyein, and I are going over 'Stuck In The Middle' again before the ball tonight. You kow your parts, right?" Hanni asked the girl while smiling at her. Danielle nodded back in response before Hannie left to go practice with the other girls once more.
"I just wanted to give you another late birthday gift." Danielle smiled as Conrad handed her a small velvet box.
Inside, there was silver ring with a baby pink peral ontop of the ring.
"Read the inside." Conrad was looking at his little sister, trying to read her emotions as best as he could.
"For the hope of all' The girl whispered. "Connie,"
"You don't like it. I knew I should have gotten the white pearl." She stopped Conrad from continuing by hugging her brother.
"Connie, it's perfect. If I didn't have any make-up on I would've cried. Thank you." She giggled. "I have to finish getting ready. I'll see you later, though."
"I'll be front row next to mom." She kissed his cheek and went back to the changing room to finish her make-up and get her white dress on.
