"yeah, I can just tell Nolan we don't play" Brooke murmurs to Angela.

"okay, I think Jackson will be super into it, though" Angela replies.

"alright, well Tim is still a really good cop, I'm sure with a little sabotaging on your end, we'll be able to get him to win in a landslide" Brooke whispers back.

"yeah, we should be able to, so glad that you're the third TO and not Talia" Angela remarks.

" 'cause Talia is super into these competitions" Brooke realizes.

"yeah, but we don't mention a single thing to Tim" Angela says.

"of course not, it's a normal day" Brooke nods.

"it's too early for gossip" Tim comments, walking over to where the two girls are hovering near the coffee machine.

Brooke and Angela step aside so Tim can get to the coffee machine.

"but it's good gossip" Brooke grins.

"you think all gossip is good" Tim rolls his eyes, playfully.

"okay, but this gossip is really really good" Brooke insists.

"keep telling yourself that" Tim scoffs as he makes Brooke's coffee.

"oh, you have your date with Tasha on Friday" Brooke realizes, grinning.

"why did you set me up with her?" Tim complains.

"you haven't been on a date in six months" Brooke protests.

"and here she goes again, being a hypocrite" Angela says.

"I-I'm not being a hypocrite" Brooke argues.

"you haven't had a serious relationship with anyone since Officer Hudgens" Talia says, walking over as well.

Brooke freezes at the mention of Officer Hudgens. 

Brooke clears her throat. "I have to go"

"really?" Angela glares at Talia.

"what?" Talia asks.

"it was this time during her rookie year she was excited about Hudgens" Tim answers.

"that was four years ago, she should've gotten over it by now" Talia shrugs.

"she was kidnapped" Angela scoffs.

"and it was her fault" Talia argues.

[Time Skip]

"you doing okay?" Tim asks, sitting down next to Brooke.

"yeah, j-just didn't have enough caffeine in my system to hear his name" Brooke sighs.

"well today is your first Round Up" Tim grins. "You excited?"

"very" Brooke grins. "I'm elated for you to dominate me"

"what can I say, I'm just that good" Tim smirks. "speaking of which"

Tim stands up and goes over to Grey's podium.

"All right, settle down. Settle down. Listen. Everyone knows what today is, and I just want to say that Team Bradford is gonna dominate once again." Tim announces.

"Yeah, not this year, Blondie." Angela scoffs.

Tim grins and sits back down.

"Dominate what?" Nolan asks.

"The Roundup. Happens every year when the rookies are a month into the job. The T.O.s sponsor a competition for the most felony arrests in one shift." Jackson explains.
